Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Those emulated Genesis games are way over priced at $5 anyway. There's much better original content on the app store. Not to say that the Streets of Rage series is not one of the most awesome scrolling fighters ever, but playing them with a virtual d-pad is never going to be a good experience. Ever.

I picked up Zenonia for half price!

Zenonia looked really good. I picked it up for that sale price.

Taxiball is made by a member of NeoGAF. Seems fun. I will pick it up for a buck.

BTW, WordFu is totally addicting and fucking awesome.

^ And Castle of Magic and Star Defense.

It just doesn't pay to buy a game for more than a buck anymore. Seems like they all drop to 99 cents eventually.

I've been enjoying Scrabble. It weighs in at a hefty $5 though. You can play with friends on Facebook. No need for an iPhone.

DoodleJump is awesome for a buck, but I'm sure everyone's played that by now.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I heard great things about Dungeon Hunter, it was taken down due to some glitches. I know it's pretty pricey at $6.99, but I love dungeon crawlers.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Learned something pretty cool the other day. Maybe this is common knowlege, but you can store unlimited (dependent on your free space of course) apps on your phone.

You are limited to 176 icons (11 screens of 16 icons each), but the others can be found by searching.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

FYI, there is actually a workaround where you can have even more screens and icons on your iphone. I myself have 14 screens already with over 200 icons. Once my screens are filled up, I can create a new screen to hold additional icons again. You can find details on how to do this in the Tii Podcast. Its great but with some caveats, so check it out if you're interested.

I couldn't imagine wanting more than 176 apps on my computer let alone my portable device.

Apple Allows Free Apps to Sell In-App Purchases

It works for consoles but will this work for the iPhone/iPod Touch audience?
For me personally, I'm not interested in-app purchases.

It means getting rid of all the doubling up of apps and flooding the store with Lite versions. I'm all for it.

Pac-Man:CE is pure awesome. Now I wish I could get this new version on the Xbox.

It was on sale (might still be?) for $4 but that was a few days ago. If you like the 360 version you'll love this.

lots of griping that it's only 1/4 of the game and you have to pay extra for the rest. Although people are saying that it's to prevent piracy, as in-app purchases are harder to pirate?

How is it different from the 360 version?

Dumb question...I am getting a Touch for x-mas. Do all the games have demos or do you just have to blind buy?

Not all, but lots of them do.

And you don't have to blind buy anything, you have us.

And youtube reviews/gameplay footage of every app, tons of websites for reviews & price drops, etc.
