Sentinel, a sci fi TD game is down to $3 (from $5).
I grabbed it, seems pretty sweet so far. Different setting, a few extra gameplay tweaks. I think there's a lite version.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Hey tobetop, asking that kind of question in a thread about ipods might not be the best idea if you expect a balanced answer. I've never used a Zune, but having said that, if you did decide on the iPod then I can't recommend the iPod touch highly enough. You can't use it to backup your computer like some of the big harddisk based iPods, but the iPod touch (and iPhone) can do so much more. Hell, they even just released Skype on the appstore, so if you have a headset for your iPod touch you can even use it as a phone as long as you have WiFi. I'm looking forward to when they unlock bluetooth support in 2.3, so then I'll probably Skype via my iPod rather than having to sit in front of my computer.

I actually had this debate a month back and spent weeks pouring over info trying to decide between a 120 gig iPod classic, 120 gig zune, and a 32 gig iTouch. I recently picked up the iTouch and i couldn't be happier.
Great apps, being able to do things online anywhere in my home (and in many businesses), video podcasts, etc. have been great. It has really impressed me.
My only complaints have been trying to puzzle out decent accessories, kind of short battery life, and the fact that all the Apple accessories are so ridiculously expensive.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
For games, it totally depends on how heavily the game is utilising the hardware. Some can suck the battery in 1-2 hours, others (like a simple puzzle game or sudoku) could be more than 10 hours.
Video has been awesome, I've never ran out of battery watching video. I haven't measured it but it seems like it could be anything from 5-15 hours, depending on codecs etc.

Maybe this has been posted... but is there a (quality) Peggle type game or Peggle itself for the Ipod Touch? I've not seen Peggle when I search.

Peggle is coming out soon I think this month. There was some knock off, but I forget what it was called.
Update: there is a game called Pegs in Space just like Peggle.

Anyone pick up the free Mafia Wars app? I never got into it on Facebook but it's pretty addictive on the iPhone. If anyone wants to start a DVD Talk mafia, my player ID is 7501 7150 71.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
My old mp3 player died so my new ipod touch is on the way. I have been playing around with itunes in general. I pretty much didn't think much of it and think even less of it now but it is functional.
Anyway I have my eye on comic zeal, icomic, imafia, and ivampire.

I've now spent several hours with RogueTouch and have really enjoyed it. If you like rogues at all snap it up. It is a great portable version.

For any new people to the thread I can't recommend toucharcade.com enough. Check out the forums. I've put in over 1500 posts in 2 months (and it took me about 7 years to do 10k here for comparison). It's that good.

I will check it out later.
