What's with all this iBlahBlah games of recent times. As far as I can tell, they're each just a palette swap of each other. And the gameplay seems just a case of clicking through screens to earn xp and loot without any decision making. Anyway, I got bored after 5 minutes but it seems like they're trying to hook you with some form of progression and then leech you for money via micro transactions to boost your character. Also the reviews of the games on the appstore are all just referrals from other players. Lame.

The idea that they're temporarily free and plan to charge $5 seems like a joke. I'm sure they will stay free, it's the only way the model works.

They are silly little time wasters that don't take much time. Kind of like Mousehunt on Facebook.

Personally i like werewolves so i played the one with that theme but you are correct - they are completely identical. It at least gives me something to kill about 5 minutes a day before bed.

I just picked up Underworlds it's a real fun RPG. People compare it to Diablo. My only gripes with it so far no map, no music, and only 1 class. The devs said there adding music in the next update and working on more classes.

Myst is out, and has to be one of the biggest games out at 727mb. I so want to get it, but I have so many other games to play right now.

Picked this one up and it is great. Right now it and Wolfenstein 3D for $1.99 are great buys.

I'm really tempted by Myst. I will probably wait it out for awhile. Everything seems to go on sale at some point so I hate buying anything at full price.

Tempted by Pocket God, Montezuma, and Myst, but will try to hold off. For every game system in my life, I've accumulated dozens of games without playing them all thru. For once, with the ipod apps, I'm trying to commit to finishing what I purchase before moving on. Have only bought about 5 games, finished 1 or 2 of them so far. Trying to complete Besiegement right now.

I agree, Montezuma is worth 99 cents. I may not finish it, but it's good for spending a few minutes here and there. I also had 1.05 sitting in my itunes account so it was "free", and this was the first and only game I have paid for--I don't mind downloading lots of free games that I might then delete afterwards.
Drop 7 is addictive as well, even the free Lite version.

After the summer update things should be great for us. Meaning, you will able to buy things and if you don't like them you can "return" them and get a refund.

Ball Slam is free and it's a pretty entertaining game. It's a Brick Breaker title, but with a lot of production value. I don't know how big it is, how many levels, but it looks pretty and plays really well. It's supposed to be free just for a limited time.

Anyone try out Seek n Spell? The guys on 1up were talking about it. Here's their site. It's a GPS based word game where you actually run around outside to locate letters to spell words for points.

Sounds really interesting. A game where you are outside and are active. I think Grandpa once talked me about that.

I would play it, but don't have enough friends with iphones 3G to play it well.

Just downloaded Top Gun now to my iPod Touch. Top Gun anthem plays over the menu. The music is pretty good although Danger Zone is an obvious cover version. Played the first mission and it takes some gettng used to the accelerometer controls. Its still a pretty good flight/fighter jet sim with great music. For those on the fence, its only $1.99 right now which is pretty cheap when you consider the music inlcuded plus the highly detailed graphics.

Car Jack Streets is already on sale for $2.99. It's a GTA clone, but looks pretty good.
