Glad this is working out for so many people. Guess it wasn't a price mistake to begin with and is just one of the best deals of the year.

The hardest part is waiting until xmas to open it up.

The ad is only for the PS3 and 360 versions. The Wii version isn't out for a couple more days.

I was hoping you knew of a magic trick other than email. Let's hope they finally cancel it after receiving my third email.

Yep, and twice I've gotten back a form letter that says that in process orders can't be canceled, even though the item is backordered. Ugh.

Do you think I could get on this deal at all anymore through price matching? I called one toys r us by me (Sacramento, CA) and they said they were all out but they have a shipment coming in (not necessarily having RB2) Friday night so Saturday morning I could try again. The other 2 TRU by me have BUSY phone lines so I'll keep trying once I get off work.
Do you think Walmart will price match on this?? I need the XBOX 360 version!

I had 3 friends all price match this deal at Wal-Mart today. Thanks to the OP for the heads up! It's like an instant full band.

Latest reports from CAG are that:
1. Some TRU are holding back stock in the back, and won't put them out until January (which seems unlikely, they will probably be out on Sunday when the ad ends).

2. BB is refusing to pricematch on a corporate level, giving the excuse that it's a gift card offer and a bundle... they won't even honor the before-giftcard price (from Raiser on CAG)

I tried BB first, and got the "we don't pricematch bundles or out of stock items" line. Some BB employees don't know about the memo, but BB is probably the least likely place to PM.

I ended up price matching at Circuit City. They match 100% of the difference, so that was an additional $8 off. I also had a $15 off of $100 coupon that they had sent me, which made the price $86.99. I only wanted the drums and guitar, so I put the game on Half and sold it for $45. I'll put the microphone en eBay as soon as I get around to it. End result will probably be roughly $30 for the drums and guitar.

Other places to try price matching are Walmart, Guitar Center, Fred Meyer, etc.

I'll give it a try tonight.. I would like a new RB2 drum set and another wireless guitar. I have a wired RB1 guitar that is new that I can throw in to sell with the game and mic.

My sealed RB2 game just sold for $48 on Ebay, so even after fees, my cost on the bundle dropped under $50. Now to pick up some cymbals.

Stupid WalMart gave me the run around about needing to have the actual ad. I printed the ad from the TRU website since I don't get the Sunday paper and they wouldn't accept it after I complained to a manager that it's the same damn thing. They were even aware of the pricing but still wouldn't accept my printed ad.

For amazon reference, after shipping and fees, I cleared $40 for the game and $10 for the microphone.

I think I am going to sell the guitar on craigslist for $40.

So it leaves the drums for me at pretty good cost. Looking forward to snagging the cymbals.

OK so I went to BEST BUY, not my local one but the one near my comic shop b/c I figured "what the hell, I am up here already." I picked up a ROCKBAND 2 Set for XBOX 360 and went over to the customer service counter. Immediately the girl is suspiciously eyeing the ACTUAL AD from TOYS R US (from my Sunday paper). She is asking her co-workers questions, etc and then heads for the computer and then out of sight. I knew what was going to happen next just by looking @ her.

She came back and said, "The TOYS R US across the way doesn't have this in stock so I can't price match it." I had a really bad night on Tuesday b/c my spot at Gotham Comedy Club in NYC was canceled b/c I didn't have enough guests so I was fuming. I said to the girl, "You know, I price match things @ BEST BUY almost every week and NOT ONCE has someone called another store to check the stock of the item. You are doing this just to be a stickler and b/c it is such a deal and to abuse your 'authority' and be an a#sh*%e." So I left the box on the counter and said, "I will just take my business across the street to CIRCUIT CITY where they won't give me a hard time." I feel kind of bad that I said that but I have never had anything close to a problem at BB. So I went across the street and did just that where they were more than happy to PRICE-MATCH the TOYS R US ad and I happily got the full XBOX 360 ROCKBAND 2 Set for $113 and change. MAJOR SCORE!! Plus I got the GUITAR HERO: WORLD TOUR Complete Guitar Game deal last week from AMAZON for just $69. So as a gamer-newbie, I am really psyched to become a pretend-Rock God!

I'm pretty sure they were thrilled that you took your business across the street, as CC took the loss on the item, not them.

Well, I tried calling the 4 TRU in my area but of course they are all out of stock (me being super late on this deal - but hopeful as it ends 12/20).
I read up on Walmart and saw that most accept price matches so I decided to try it. I went there and asked if they price match. The guy told me yes but only if I had the original advertisement from the newspaper - NO COPIES OR INTERNET PRINTOFFS. Shoot! That is exactly what I had. And I don't receive the newspaper nor do I know anyone that does so I thought I was doomed. My next thought was to go to the nearest TRU to me and see if they had their ads out by the door - nope. I went wandering around the store looking for an ad maybe someone left behind but NO LUCK! I was bummed. My only glimmer of hope was that one of the TRU ladies on the phone said they have a truck coming in on Friday evening so they MIGHT have some more Saturday morning.
I walked out of TRU and low and behold there was a folded up ad on the ground that just looked like a piece of trash that I picked up and IT WAS THERE! THE AD for this! I then took it to Walmart where the guy price matched (no giftcard but thats okay) and he was actually shocked at the deal I was getting.

So I am a happy girl!
Good luck everyone! The Walmart in Sacramento on Watt Ave will price match this!

Great job getting the ad. One thing I've found with Toys R Us is that their in-store ad sometimes doesn't list deals found in the newspaper ad. Very sneaky.

Sometimes people leave the Sunday paper in the laundromats. It may be too late now though.
