Besides being big, there's a lot of vertical play in the maps. In previous games everyone was pretty much on one plane, maybe two - now, there's all sorts of elevations and lot's of varied places to shoot down on people from, if you're into that sort of thing.

Well, as with COD4, if you had the high ground, you had a big advantage. Even on Rust, if you can get to the elevated center. IIRC there are only 2 maps where it was open field, Derail and Wasteland.

finally said it shipped but estimated arrival date is 11/11. It says "release day shipping" so do I get that back if it doesn't arrive on release day? Or is there a possibility that it'll be delivered tomorrow? The tracking number is there but it says "unavailable" when attempting to track via ups or boxoh.

Was able to pick mine up earlier today in Astoria... They said if you pre-bought it you could pick it up today, if not, you had to buy it tomorrow.

I saw that about the nuke but it wasn't clear what happens. It just ends the game? That kind of sucks as I'm sure there will be plenty of people that could probably get that per game. So I wonder how often that will happen per game.
I was debating how to get this game and surprisingly it was still available for release day delivery via Amazon. I think the cut off time is 8pm EST. So I should be getting it in close to 15 hrs from order to delivery.

Pretty nice that they released it the day before Veteran's Day. A lot of people have off and it sort of ties in with what the game is about.

So yeah, I've had a modded 360 for quite some time now and finally got banned today. The irony of it, is it's because I was playing a legit store bought copy of CoD:MW2 before street date (and haven't played a burnt title in quite some time.)
That's what I get for going legit.
On the up side, that system has been overheating like crazy lately (2 red lights) and was always loud as hell (I had a launch unit, sent it in 3 or 4 times since w/ RRoD) so I went in, picked up one of the $199 w/ $100 GC Arcade systems from Walmart (effectively $99, plus it comes with a Wireless controller now, which I was getting ready to buy prior to Thanksgiving.. alright not really $99, it was more $220 for the 360 and DJ Hero). This thing is dead silent. I'm actually in awe as my old one was always the loudest thing in the room, now the projector is (stupid coffee table unit, I need a house.) and I have to say I'm happy with the new purchase.
Still, for the pirates out there, don't try to go legit, you'll get fucked.

I just realized this will be arriving tomorrow and I'm not that excited 
I still have Borderlands and Dragon Age to finish. I only play MW2 for the mp anyway. Don't get me wrong, I am sure it'll be alot of fun, but it's weird not being hyped like I was for the first one.
