I don't think ahead of time. I just wrote it in real quick to get my post in, then went back to edit it nicely. I had typed it so quick it seemed I was drunk.

In reality, my fingers were just very cold.

My first instinct was to make you keep the non-black version. You are lucky I have a soft spot for drunks

What's surprising is that racing, which arguably is one of the bigger genres, is completely unrepresented here. Only 4 of us picked games in that genre and of those games, 75% are Mario Karts related.

Even if you add in games with vehicles (Blast Corps, the GTAs), we're still only at 8 games.

What I find interesting is that about 20 of people's top 3 picks from last time still have not been drafted this time. I am also surprised that we have had virtually no picks of the same game but on different systems.

I thought we decided that it was against the rules to pick the same game on different systems?

It's against the rules, remember?

The official rules explicitly state that it is O.K. I wouldn't do it as I think it hurts your list. But, if someone wanted to, they would be allowed to do so. Do you want to change your last pick? Super Mario Brothers (GBA) is still available

I don't think it really hurts someone's list, because I think that for most titles, most people will just look at the title and ignore/not care about the platform.

Is Rock Band 2, for example, so much worse on PS3 that you would not hold it in almost identical light to the 360 version? Is someone really going to think "well I would have voted for this list, but the PS3 Rock Band 2 usually gets DLC a few days late, so now I won't vote for it", or will they just think "Rock Band 2 is awesome" or "Rock Band 2 is awesome, and being on PS3 doesn't change that fact"?

I would dock someone points (in my voting) if they chose the PS3 version of Oblivion or the Wii version of RE:4. I can think of numerous other choices where the platform would be a minus.

Also, GBA ports would generally not be looked upon favorably by me.

There are obviously some games where that is true, but you could still punish someone for picking those versions instead of the others even if duplicates were not allowed.

There's only one game on any of the lists I considered double-drafting on another system, but I felt the backlash from the group would be too negative.

Longer than you probably? If you have some sort of retort, just say it, instead of resorting to some backhanded insult and assuming that your true meaning is clear.

I need to get some Xbox 360 games in my list but my favorites have been already taken. I was going to choose an Arcade game today, but chose to stay with my original choice.

At the beginning I thought that by round 5 I'd be already done with Xbox 360!

Please delay all fights until 11:55 am EST (8:55 am PST). That way everybody can get distracted while I make my picks.

TIA!

I should have added a . I wasn't tring to insult you at all. I am sorry if it came off that way. I was (poorly) saying that people on a video game message board can be snooty. Some might actually say that the PS3 version of Rock Band is worse due to DLC not being available the same time as the 360 version. Personally, I don't think they are much different. However, most people associate mutiplatform games this generation w/ the 360. If I were to pick a PS3 game, it would be an exclusive.

Well, consider it a part of JasonF's and The Bus's official unofficial rules. If you double-draft a game that someone else drafted by switching systems or editions, you're hereby officially King of the Sissypants.

I have one I still want to get in, so if I run out of ideas or everything good is gone by round 10, that's where it will go.
