Here's a handy list that someone put together:

Looks like most single-disc games are between 3.5GB and just under 7GB.

PlayOn is always hit or miss for me. I doubt I will PURCHASE the software when the trial runs out. Half the time it says No Video Available. I have it set up for both the 360 and PS3 and had similar issues.

Will the NXE be available in the AM? I'd like to do the update before work.

Since A Kingdom For The Kefflings has avatar support and is available with the NXE, I'd guess that the NXE would be available at the same time as the XBLA launches, which is usually about 2-3 AM Pacific time on Wednesday. That's just a guess, though.

Thanks for the link.

Will NXE take up any more drive-space than the current operating system does? If so, how much more? (I don't have much to spare)

Michael Corvin 11-17-08 10:48 AM

Original Dash = < 5MB
NXE = 128MB

slop101 11-17-08 12:02 PM

Is it mandatory? Hypothetically, what if someone doesn't have the space for it?

edstein 11-17-08 12:13 PM

Is a HD required for NXE?

Matt 11-17-08 12:16 PM

Microsoft is offering a free 512MB memory card to Core/Arcade owners for the NXE, so I guess it could be stored on a memory card.

Chew 11-17-08 12:20 PM

Personally, I thought the 20gb HDD and 3 months Gold for $30 from Microsoft for Arcade owners was a too good of a deal to pass up.

Michael Corvin 11-17-08 01:20 PM

Mandatory. You can use a Memory Unit if need be.

I think someone cleaned his friend list and removed me. :(

My gamertag is rsra13 :p

At least now I have a higher ranking in my FL in Geometry Wars 2 now. ;)

It was indeed. I definitely didn't pass it up.

Has anyone that has NXE been able to figure out where to redeem codes in the marketplace???? I want to get the Gears 2 maps but cannot find where to enter the code!

dvd182 11-17-08 07:16 PM

Can someone advise me on the proper steps to complete a new machine upgrade and content transfer?

I currently have a 20gb Pro that doesn't have hdmi. I have a bunch of XBLA games and a ton of Rock Band content that I need to be able to access offline.

I bought a 120 GB hard drive and one of the new Arcade machines, as it has HDMI. I want to get all of my old content and eligible saves over to the new drive on the new machine. The new hard drive came with the transfer cable.

What is the best way to do this with the least amount of hassles due to DRM? Will I have to use the license transfer tool?

Thanks in advance for any help.

xmiyux 11-17-08 07:20 PM

I actually want the same info since i intend to buy a 60 gig HDD soon.

Not sure in the main dashboard.

But, if you press the guide button to bring up the mini-dashbaord. Go all the way to the left in the marketplace blade. There is a spot to redeem code.

Use the transfer cable and software to transfer the data from hard drive to hard drive.
You will need to use the license transfer tool for the DRM stuff.

Me? Yeah, I went through the other day and took about 50 people off that I hadn't played with.

well, i was wondering that too, but i heard there are issues going from a 20 gb HD to a 60 gb HD.

Mok 11-17-08 09:39 PM

I don't know what's going on, but I put in Rock Band 2 and there was an update. So I updated thinking it was a game update, and I got the NXE update.

Mok 11-17-08 09:45 PM

Major Nelson just updated his Twitter account with this message. Looks like NXE is coming early for anyone else who signed up for the preview program.

"It may take a few hours as we go through and add everyone to the list"
