Can anyone please confirm if the RB2 bundle comes with a multi-USD Hub? Thanks
However, any USB hub should work if you need one. |

Is there any warning before the batteries on the drums die? I've gone through three recharges and each time my drums decide to die, I've been in the middle of a song and I never knew the batteries were about to crap out. I also don't think I get more than 4 hours on my rechargeables. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the USB-connected drums. Not the set... just the connection... to be clear.

I'll be updating the DLC post today as soon as the rest of the drum videos pop up. For the past few days, I've been writing a program to basically automate it so that I don't have to worry about writing any vbCode and whatnot. It'll also make it easier to change the format easily if I want to (may mess around with tables or something over the Thanksgiving break).
I'm also going to add in some more stats, like total amount of DLC songs, etc. If there's any stat you want to see tracked, it probably wouldn't be too hard to add it in. As for the DLC this week, I'm really tempted to pick up all of it. Mission of Burma drums look really different than most other drum charts, and seem to have plenty of variety in their beats and fills. |

You'll be able to download two singles from Day and Age ("Human" and "Losing Touch") on World Tour, as well as the classic "Mr. Brightside."
Representatives of MTV told Wired.com that three Killers songs would appear on the Rock Band music store on the same day: "Mr. Brightside," Smile Like You Mean It" and "Spaceman," the latter another new single from Day and Age. |

Are you using older rechargeable batteries? I haven't even popped in my rechargeable batteries and have just been using the 3 that came with it and it's still going strong. Then again, I haven't been playing as much drums or RB2 period lately.
I really haven't been playing that much either. This is why I'm wondering how much life I should be getting... it just seems like it drains them really fast. |
My rechargeable batteries become almost crap after about a year, well, the engergizer ones I had.
Also, to those on the fence, apparently the trade-in before any coupons or edge card for the 360 Track Pack volume 2 is $10 as of today at Gamestop. May want to jump on that as cellfire + edge would make it around $14 and cut the price about in half. Edited to add... FYE pays 12.75 cash for it as well if you have a store near you that buys games. This could be a really cheap way to catch up on some DLC. |
Here's a new song collection website that started up last week and the creator is very active on the RB forum and quick to implement changes based on suggestions. It's already come along far enough for me to recommend it to everyone here over DLCQuickplay.
http://www.myrockbandsongs.com/ Check it out. I'm hoping he implements a "wishlist" feature in the near future which would make my local spreadsheet obsolete. |
DLC Post is updated using my new automation tool (reads from an Excel spreadsheet).
Added in total available DLC songs, and will add in any other stats people are interested in later. We're currently at 307 DLC. 307 DLC + 55 RB1 (not including the 3 that don't transfer) + 84 RB2 + 20 Free + 18 AC/DC = 484 songs out as of today. I don't think they'll have any problems hitting that 500 mark! |

Picked up Rock Revolution for $30 and got a $15 gift card at Best Buy. It's better than GH:WT! There's some interesting gimmicks and the graphics look better than World Tour's giant chin mode activated permanently bullshit. Honestly it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Certain covers are really bad but other than that, I kinda like it. Worth $15!
Got the DK pack, girly songs pack, and Gone as well. California Uber Alles is awkwardly slow compared to what I'm used to but it's still amazing Edit: The song creator is way better than GH's. It's got some good instrument sounds and shows you the note/chord played which is pretty cool. Multiple track recording is a bit of a pain but it was fun and I might look into it more later. Hopped in to scoop up achievements. EDIT 2: I was playing Somebody Told Me in a poster gig where I can pick 3 songs from a predefined list, and they threw in a freestyle solo! It's no BRE. What you strum is actually the sound that comes out! I was fuckin' flipping out shredding fake plastic guitar and the transition is pretty seamless. I don't know if it's my addiction to these games, or just wanting to have more classic Heart in my rythym game world, but I'm tempted to take the plunge on RR, too.
A nice Friday announcement for a Heart 3-pack would help me greatly, Harmonix. |

Plus he's got a nice Community page that lists the top 100 and bottom 25 songs owned and what you have and what you wish for. It's just neat and easily the best way to communicate with other people (like friends and family) what you have available to play. |
That is awesome. Personally I love the wishlist. Having sat out a few weeks I wanted a good way to keep track of everything I still want. |
I joined up. Seems like a good tool. I'm finally to the point that I can't remember what I've downloaded.

Here's a neat little set of <s>commercials for Cisco</s> making-of documentaries on RB2: http://www.cisco.com/web/consumer/rockband/index.html
Currently at 7 parts of 10. I find it fascinating and wish I could be part of it all instead of sitting here in my cube, hating everyone and everything, and living vicariously through the internet. |
Was at a local video store today when the put Track Pack vol. 2 on the shelves for rent, had a free rental coupon = Free songs for me :) I only didn't have about 50% so a purchase was out of the question, but this is a price I can live with ;)

^With the one time use code on the booklet - since I was the first to rent it, I got to download the pack for use in RB2 :) (I was worried an employee may have copied the code down or something, but I redeemed it no problem)

I went to my local rental store and they had the ACDC disc for rent. It's been there for about two weeks and it's always seemed to be in stock (only 1 copy). I took a shot, rented it, and the code worked, so I basically snagged the disc for $3.49. The instruction booklet was right on the shelf so I figured someone probably just wrote it down and used it...nope, sa-weeet!!!

Really awesome newsletter with some info on where Harmonix and Neversoft get their masters from (a cave in Tennessee)!
http://www.ironmountain.com/filmsoun...ges/inside.htm It goes into some detail as to how they're pumping stuff out so fast now. It used to take them several days to mix a song, and now they're pumping out 6+ a week! |
