Evanescence is not on the Century Media label

beavis69 11-14-08 11:49 AM

Fuck yea, Dead Kennedys for me. Cali uber allies is my ringtone. Love that song

jdpatri 11-14-08 11:52 AM

Mission of Burma could be cool. I'd have to refresh my memory on the specific tracks though.

devilshalo 11-14-08 11:54 AM

I'm in for....

...nothing this week.

Shagrath 11-14-08 12:18 PM

I'll be getting the Kennedies, more than likely the Century Media pack, and the Crooked X song. I'll have to listen to the Mission of Burma stuff, but wasn't that intrigued when I listened to them a few weeks ago.

Alright, fine... you guys have convinced me, I need to pick this up tonight :D

Couldn't take it anymore, I got RB2 last night
I was up until 1:30am rockin out... way too addicting. I also d/l the 20 free songs and will be renting RB1 tonight to rip the songs into RB2.

This is so much better than the GH franchise IMO. I owned GH2 and GH3 and as good as they were, it doesn't even come to close that the fun the RB franchise provides. Rock on guys!

I would say the same but Holiday in Cambodia and Closer by Lacuna Coil are both on the GHIII disc and I mostly play guitar so... maybe if they were $.99.

I'll probably get the second LC song though.

DVDChris 11-14-08 12:25 PM

sweet, welcome to the club.

So what are you listening to this week?

How about last week?

Two weeks ago?

Thanks in advance!

flashburn 11-14-08 12:28 PM

Looks like I got lots of stuff to listen to before I decide. I'll definitely be getting the Lacuna Coil songs. I'll probably just get the three pack if only to support Century Media, as they have released a lot of albums from bands I would love to see in RB.

Michael Corvin 11-14-08 12:28 PM

I know the chart will probably be different, but IIRC, Closer was dreadfully boring in GHIII.

Walker Boh 11-14-08 12:31 PM

If my spreadsheet is correct, we're now at 502 songs available or officially announced. (Not counting the three RB1 songs that didn't export to RB2, and not counting No Doubt since we don't know how many there will be).

Closer is like the 4th or 5th song in the Bonus setlist tier. Its very easy to 5-star that sucker.

84 RB2
346 DLC released through 11/18 (including AC/DC pack)

I'm not counting what they've announced because they aren't necessarily guaranteed by "Holiday 2008". The original EW announcement about the albums didn't actually say they were due by EOY 2008, just that they were upcoming. Splitting hairs? Maybe, but I want people to not be pissed if one of the remaining 3 doesn't hit by 12/31/2008.

Kijdhefgi 11-14-08 12:38 PM

Kennedys, Century Media, maybe Burma, and probably Crooked X.

Unless there is another AC/DC type expansion, I'm sticking with DLC. Not worth the hassle to save a few bucks.

When does it come out? I might try and rent it and get the code that way.

If your blockbuster is like my blockbuster you just need to open the actual case for the game on the floor where they have the instruction book instead of actully renting the game. My blockbuster doesn't put the instruction book in the actual game rental.

Well this is certainly worth a trip on the way home. I wonder if they'll actually have it for rent, though.

Somehow I doubt it. I haven't specifically looked at the selection for the track pack discs but will check at mine as well. Hell, if I see it at one, I'll see if I can't get a code for you. No promises though.

naitram 11-14-08 12:58 PM

In for DK, never heard of the rest.

Crooked X, I could understand. As if you didn't have the RB1 disc, you probably haven't heard them.

But Lacuna Coil? They're on the disc for RB2! Maybe you meant you weren't familiar with the particular songs, and I'm not reading as such.

thelwig14 11-14-08 01:08 PM

Nothing for me, but I love seeing "Police Truck" so it is another sign of them dumping already charted songs from GH 1 and 80's. Keep it coming so I can get some of my hair metal.

Good point. The way EW worded the article, I assumed the albums would help them get to the 500, but it's possible they won't.

I count 327 + 16 AC/DC = 343

Is Wikipedia's List of downloadable songs for the Rock Band series missing something? That's what I used as my starting-point.

pinata242 11-14-08 01:13 PM

AC/DC is 18. I don't know if wiki is missing something or I double-listed something. Should be fun to find :(
