Sadly, I can't pick it up because everything is closed here in Puerto Rico today because it's election day.

Picked it up today.. Nice looking game thus far in the first mission.
The only thing that I don't like is that you can't play the story mode co-op. You can choose Campaign or Co-Op from the main menu, and you would think Co-Op would be the story mode co-op style. It takes you to a map selection screen where you play through maps.
Why is it hard for game developers to give gamers an actual co-op mode in their games that follows the same as the single player mode?

The co-op is a second mission different than the one you run single player. Two for one sounds like a bonus to me. I picked up the game today but a little game called Fallout 3 will not let me play it yet.

That's somewhat disappointing, as Resistance was one of the few PS3 games I actually enjoyed having a buddy over to play split-screen. I was under the impression that co-op would still follow the story, just with different characters. Is it structured that way or are the maps just random levels you can play in any order?
I didn't play around with it to much. It has a level select screen that had all but one level unlocked. I guess you unlock levels as you play through. It looked like it would be split screen, but it would not be the same as the single player story.

Played for a couple hours last night. Pretty freakin' sweet so far. One thing I noticed that kinda bugged is that on Standard Controller Layout, the Primary Fire is R1 and the Alt. Fire is R2. This is fine unless you're using the Alt. Fire on the Fareye which slows down time. I end up having to use my middle finger on R2 and index finger on R1 in order to use them at the same time. Not a huge deal, but kinda awkward...
On the plus side, it looks like you can map the buttons in any way you'd like...

Picked up the game last night and played online coop for an hour, definitely fun though it took me a little while to know what I was doing. I connected my Plantronics BT headset to give it a try and seemed to work ok.
So anyone wanna trade user id's and get a few games going tonight?

This is one of the only games that doesn't have it's own brightness setting - my TV's already calibrated and is perfect for blu-rays, dvds and other videogames. But this game looks way too dark and I can't adjust it's brightness like I can with virtually every other game. WTF!

Been playing for the last two days and I adore it. I especially like that they added a sprint mechanic.

Fallout 3 will still not let me play this game. Maybe I can ask for permissions and get an hour or two in with it this weekend. It is a power struggle just taking the Fallout 3 disc out of the machine. As for the Collector's Edition I think it is worth it. You get a 5" Chimera figure with moveable arms as well as a making of Blu-Ray, art book and a code for a free skin.

I have an unopened Metal Gear: Guns of the Patriot game from TRU. I am thinking of exchanging this with Resistance 2. I just played Resistance game last week and liked it. At the same time, I am not as fond of stealth games, though I've played a PS2 Metal Gear game and liked it. Would you exchange MGS with Resistance 2? Any advise? Thanks.

"Hi, my name is bdshort and I am a Fallout 3 addict." -- Seriously, everything else I do has gone by the wayside for Fallout 3. I got R2 and LBP at the same time, and they've barely been touched. The bad thing is I wanted to go diving (you know, a real life hobby!) this weekend but Fallout kept me sucked in.
What I've played so far I've liked, though haven't been really overwhelmed by. I'm only at the beginning of the Orick level though, and everytime I have been playing, the voices in my head tell me I really should keep exploring the Wasteland... The Kraken battle at the end of the San Fran level was fun though.

The one thing keeping me from getting this game is the reports I read that the enimies only come after YOU and not your squadmates. That seems very cheap.

Aint that the truth! I'm only playing it on normal and still find myself overwhelmed many times!
