And I must say, it was good to play with you again. I wish Steelgear was on!

I'm quite impressed with the group we have between here and DHG. Lots of good guys, lots of fun. It certainly makes the experience on Live that much better...

What's DHG? I'm still waiting on my Gears copy to arrive from the circuit city deal. Hopefully I'll get to play with you guys before you move on to COD WAW.

Ahh...I should have included 8BB. My bad...we were playing with Killer though, and I know how touchy that subject is. Believe me, you and speed and such are all included in what I said.

DHG = DarkHorse Gamers...we all broke off from 8Bit Brigade and grabbed a forum.

I just finished Act 3.

Spoiler:

As cheesy and expected as it was, Dom's scene really touched me. The voice actor did an OK work, nothing spectacular, but the whole scene was just too powerful. I was expecting him to see a ghost, but I was still surprised when he was seeing Maria as he remembered her and then Marcus make him to see her how she really was.
I expected him to kill her, but still was shocked when he did.

I finished this part today in the morning, around 11:00 am. If it was at night, at 11:00 pm I would probably stop playing, turn off the console and just to bed sad.

Well I just completed the game on Hardcore in co-op but did not get the One-Night Stand, Open Relationship, or Friends with Benefits achievements. That's a real stinker including since you unlock a gamer pic when you get these achievements.

I know when you beat a level there is a cog in a certain color depending on the difficulty you beat it at next to the chapters you beat in single player. Is there such an indicator for co-op levels??? Maybe it recorded it as beating single player by mistake??

Beat the game. Story was fantastic, much better than the 1st one. However, never at any point in this game was there that same "suspense" that the 1st had. I'm thinking it was because in the 1st you were basically alone with a crew of guys, where as this one you had the power of the army behind you. the last boss battle is

The cogs I have are a gold color and there is 1 next to every part. I wonder if this happened because I played Local and not over Live.

Doubt live would make a difference. At least in the first game I played co-op local and got the story achievements. - were you specifically playing as the other character or was your buddy playing it with a different profile?

Great game so far. Yea, I've had a few glitches and one I ended up "outside" of the level. The building with all the labs..not sure the name..but when I went thru the double doors, got in the middle and was backing up I ended up in part blackness and part textures. I took a picture and will post.

Still have yet to experience Horde.

I was playing Marcus and he was playing Dom. My friend was signed in under his profile and I was under mine. I don't know what happened, but I checked around and some people have had the same problem. Oh well it's only an achievement, I'm not going to go crazy over it. Thanks for the feedback.

Speaking of which - how does co-op work in the vehicle sections? One flies/drives and the other shoots or what?

Every forum I read(especially Epic), people are having all these glitches and everything. I guess I'm lucky, because this has not happened once to me in the entire campaign or my 20 hrs or whatever of multiplayer.
Starting the Hardcore campaign this weekend, along with more Horde. Maybe one day I'll get bored enough to finally play Fallout 3...

Yeah that's how it works. It can be a pain if your the one driving and your partner can't shoot to save his life. Lots of yelling

I'm halfway through act 3, and I encountered my first graphical glitch - it started to pixelate when I went through a doorway, then froze to a "loading" screen for about 7 seconds, then continued fine until it pixelated again when I turned the next corner. But that was it...didn't freeze that time.

I've seen enemies floating quite a bit in the multi-player and a few times in single player.

My oddest glitch was in single player when you start heading for the Nexus.

I was having a one sided conversation with Dom since he wasn't there. Was odd seeing Marcus' response to questions never asked

Well I finished the game last night and overall pretty good. I do however think the final Boss in GOW1 was a bit more difficult and exciting along with the "Bats". The new one has a good solid storyline and the visuals were top notch.

If anyone is wanting to try co-op I'm up for that next. I still haven't tasted Horde mode yet probably due to my lackluster MP play.

"Bats" = Kryll

They were cool, and I'm surprised they haven't made a return in GOW2. (at least AFAIK)

Just finished up the Campaign. I absolutely hate vehicle missions but some of these were fantastic.

Ending was fun.

Probably will play through it again with a friend on Insane
