I don't know how GH has theirs set up, but Rock Band's music store only allows you to have one item going at a time. I always go to the marketplace, where you can queue up 6 items, and then by the time I get into the game, at least one song/pack has finished DL'ing and I can start to play the new stuff.

The store is up. It's under Downloads after the update.
I haven't tried DLing anything, so I'm not sure about background DLing, Shag, but I agree that the marketplace is better for larger packs, etc. However, I'm pretty sure GH3 supported background DLing, while Harmonix has said that Microsoft has not allowed RB that functionality.

So, the Tool songs: suck or mega-suck?
Seriously, how fucking boring were those on guitar? Plus they were like 8 years long and the background was mostly retarded.
I can't believe I spent $8000 to play those... AND! I guess I only unlocked them for the guitar and not even for my idiot friends in band to play? Awesome.
Couldn't they at least have got 2 songs I recognized? Schism was the only one I knew. Wouldn't have minded Stinkfist or Undertow, but I guess those are saved for GH:WT2 or DLC...

On the Road Again sucks on drums. The biggest problem is that it uses red 99% of the time and that particular drum loves to drop notes.

I picked up my pre-order from Gamestop today. I originally had the entire band kit on order but downgraded to just the guitar kit. Since I already have RB2, I'll just live with those drums or pickup the ION drums if they drop in price.

This pissed me off too. It doesn't even make sense. Sure, I only play on medium, but the whole thing is just 1 big drum roll. I don't even hear a drumroll in the song. I hear individual beats and cymbals and stuff. So what the heck?

Well, I just saw Willie in concert a month or so ago - and the entire set was played with only a snare and a hi-hat. And one the snare they used the brushes the whole time, so the roll here is the tapping/rub of the brushes.

Drum Sensitivity Tuning Kit on the Way!
10/28/08 - Neversoft
We've heard in the forums that some drum kit controllers may have sensitivity issues - i.e. some pads or cymbals require extra strong hits in order to register in-game. We believe there may be an isolated manufacturing issue with some early drum kit controllers. The good news is that all Guitar Hero World Tour drum kit controllers are programmable, so that the sensitivity on each pad or cymbal can be updated from a PC running a Windows tuning program (see screenshot below). Very soon we will be offering a free Drum Tuning Kit to consumers experiencing serious sensitivity issues.
If you are experiencing drum sensitivity issues please visit the Activision Publishing customer support page at www.activision.com/support or call 310-255-2050 in the U.S. where they will assist you with this program. Thanks again for your support of Guitar Hero World Tour!

While I admit it is a nice feature, I don't let anything interrupt me while playing.
If the phone rings, they'll leave a message if important.
If my wife says something, she can wait until the song's over.
If someone's at the door, I'll walk over to the door and open it while playing if I can.
Your score and percentage are still going to be lower than if you had played the song all the way through, so you'll end up playing it again anyways.

And my comment about Mac users, is the fact that it's a PC app from the screenshot. And not everyone is set up with dual boot.

Stupid Stranglehold...played through that whole long-ass song on Expert drums with no problems, and then in the outro, it goes nuts. I failed at 99%. Now I have to play through all that guitar wankery again on Hard. BOOOO.
Also, Schism is awesome. That is all.
