Sure, but that's misleading advertising even if it were DLC.

Who is this ad marketed to exactly?

Do kids today even know what movie they took this out of, and I'm sorry I just dont care to see a bunch of grown men play around in their underwear.

Don't ever accept an invite to Pinata's house then.

You could start here:

http://accessories.musiciansfriend.c...-parts/thrones

A lot of them have ratings. I'm sure you could find one just as good for less or find something better for the same money. So of them have backrests too which can be nice.

I don't foresee GHWT ever replacing Rock Band 2 as my rocking-out-platform-of-choice, but the Hendrix and Raconteurs packs dropping on the same day makes Nov 20 the best DLC day ever.

My thoughts...

1. I think Activision is doing a horrible job as a company, but they are serious with DLC based on what they have released so far.

2. Good to know that there won't (most likely) be a Hendrix GH game by itself.

3. I better get my Seger pack with all these commercials.

4. I am going to commit 100% to GH WT. First song that I love on DLC that gets released, I will dl it for that game. No waiting for it to be released on RB.

Pretty bold statement to make without having even played GH:WT.

Personally, I think the DLC announcements have been, at best, mediocre.

I think it would be epic if these two could agree on DLC cross-compatibility. I'll pay you if you get the songs I want first. Support each others' content like instruments.

I'm not saying that the "official" GH one will be a piece of shit, by any means. It actually looks pretty good as far as build quality goes. I was just saying that the GH name being slapped on it will make people who don't know any better pony up for it, even if it is more expensive than other, non-branded, thrones.

I'd keep an eye out for what the pricing ends up being on this one and go from there. Michael Corvin (I think it was him) made a very good point earlier, though, by saying that a key thing with this will be that it will be available at places like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. and it will be a lot less intimidating for people to go there to get it, versus having to feel like an asshat going into a Guitar Center store for it. Hell, I felt like a bit of a dumbass going in there to buy an amp and accessories when I got a real guitar, so I can only imagine.

that's the exact reason why I am still using the old drumsticks and using a patio chair. I don't want to go into Guitar Center, as about thrones/sticks then answer the question of "What kind of kit do you play?" With "Rock Band 2".

I guess I just don't care. All those music store employees are pompous assholes. I straight up tell them "I'm not a musician. I don't care if it's not the best quality. I'm buying it for a fucking video game!" If they want the sale (and the commission), then they take it. If not, then I'd go elsewhere, or just buy it from another employee.

I've bought a throne, sticks, and a mic stand all from Sam Ash. When I was thinking about modding a wireless mic setup, the guy at Guitar Center was a total dick. He even tried to gyp me out of a discount I get from where I work, telling me it was 10% instead of 20%. Needless to say, I didn't get it there, and actually decided against the wireless mic setup altogether.

Same. I'm in for at least Fire, 1979, and Jessie's Girl, but that's it.

I just really hope those symbols on the drum kit can hold up against my drumming.

I have watched the videos, not very bold in my opinion.

Hendrix, Foreigner, Raconteurs, etc....inside track on Michael Jackson, The Eagles....I will treat GHWT and RB as perfect compliments.

Hey I've been a musician for 20 years and know exactly what I am doing, and I hate going into B&M music stores. I get 98% of my gear online.

Things like sticks and thrones could easily be ordered through Musician's Friend. They usually give free shipping on just about anything. You can even get a lot of that kind of stuff through Amazon.

Also, IIRC last time I was in Guitar Center they were selling Guitar Hero, so I wouldn't feel too bad about shopping there for gear to use with the game. My guess is most of you have more musical inclination from playing this game than the people working there.

I'm definitely looking forward to Jesse's Girl and Hot Blooded. Really annoyed to have to re-buy Boston for GH to get those two, though. Unless I missed something.

You don't have to buy all three. You just get a discount if you do.

You must have. They are available as individual downloads for 160 each. Same structure as RB. So $4 for two or $5.50 for 2 + 1 dupe.

You can buy them as singles now (at least on 360 & PS3).
