I agree entirely on Magic. I have been having a ball playing the thing. I really need a more complete game though - one that will allow me to really customize my decks.

If they came out with a disc version that had more cards, deck building, and if you could choose the mana that you wanted to tap/use, I would drop $60 on it in a heartbeat.

They need to sort out the lock-up issues. I'm stuck on the co-op campaign because the game is broken.

Yep. Magic on XBLA is a blast, and I absolutely hate the real thing.

If the game freezes, push in/click the left thumbstick to unfreeze it. I had the same problem with Bankshot Billiards too and stumbled across that fix.

I'll try that, but I'm not holding out hope for it. The system totally locks up and even my A/V receiver stops getting a signal as all the lights go out.

Some of the challenges on Worms 2 are a blast (I'm looking at you, level 30!) .. Lots of fun, and my kids are loving it as much as I am .. I've never done Forts before, so that is up next after the challenges are done.

I bought it a while back because I loved the demo. Turns out they give you enough in the demo that I quickly tired of the full game.

Wow, they finally offer something that I haven't already bought!

I'm only moderately interested in it, though.

Major updated the price as it was supposed to be 50% off the whole time. I wonder what (if anything) they'll do for people who bought it in the interim.

Probably the same that they did for people who tried to buy Lode Runner after they corrected the price from 800 to 1200: jack shit.

I forgot about Lode Runner. Which begs the question:

What 3 games are you waiting on for a price drop?

Lode Runner
Roboblitz

Penny Arcade Episode 2
Portal: Still Alive
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix

Apparently if you want me to not buy your game immediately, you start it with a P.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

Looks like Summer of Arcade is officially starting next week (YMMV depending on your last few weeks' preferences).

According to Destructiod: http://www.destructoid.com/next-week...e-138760.phtml

LucasArts has announced that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be hit both Xbox LIVE Arcade and Steam for PC next week, on July 15.

The enhanced remake of the original PC title, Secret of Monkey Island, features new character art, environments, and supports up to 1080i widescreen resolution. It features a fancy new re-recorded and re-mastered score, a streamlined interface, as well as all-new voice work.

The game will run players on Xbox 360 800 MS Points, which translates to $9.99 on Steam. Who’s thinking about picking this one up?
800 points = no brainer.

800 points = sold for me too. As long as the controls aren't too terrible.

It's a point-and-click, how terrible could they be?

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

No mouse is a big change. I've said that since the beginning. I found Sam & Max unplayable.

But I'm hoping my nostalgia for MI will see me through.

It's a computer with USB ports! Support a fucking mouse, Microsoft!

Sam & Max took some time to get used to, but it's OK now I find. I think the interface is different on MOnkey - I saw a video of it last week somewhere, but i forget.

I might just mention that there are some nice deals to be had on ebay (assuming you find a decent seller). I bought Puzzle Quest Galactrix for $9, N+, Uno Rush and Connect 4 for $6 each and just bought Worms 2 for $6 yesterday. Of course, there are discounted points up the wazoo as well. It makes the price point much more tolerable than it would otherwise be.

Send me a PM and I can send you a link with sellers I trust with current BIN auctions for Lode Runner at $8 and Roboblitz for $9.

Excluding Peggle, I assume.

If you're interested, Pinata, I can send you links for BIN auctions of:
Penny Arcade Ep 2 for $8.49
Portal : Still Alive for $8
Puzzle Quest Galatrix for $12 (no more $9 deals on that one, unfortunately)

As I said before, from a couple of sellers I trust and use regularly. Send me a PM if interested.

And L&O, please explain how that Bing thing works, because I looked and couldn't figure it out.
