I'll definitely be checking this out. Might be my first purchase since Castle Crashers.
Looks promising. Further down, I'm interested in any game called Deathsmiles.

Yay. Falling blocks and dual stick shooters. Two genres that XBLA is truly deficient in.

Just tried out both new game demos. I don't know....

It feels impossible to play Meteos and not be longing for the DS controls. They were as essential to the game as dual sticks were to Geometry Wars. This controls almost exactly like Poker Smash. Now I love Poker Smash, and maybe this will become more intuitve in time, but the difference is that in PS, you'vegot nice big cards to select and here, the Meteos tiles are so small that it seems really hard to move the right tile quickly. Still, the multiplayer aspect could make it a fun game.

Has there been any mention of the new Street Fighter Uno deck? This just caught my eye on the marketplace website: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/ga...0-0000584107f3

280 points for the deck.

Power Up Forever is ..... just another two-stick shooter. There are no walls (a first for XBLA 2-sticks, iirc), so you can run away and shoot behind like in Super Stardust HD. It feels kind of slow and difficult to manuver. I sort of like the driving mechanic -- that as you continue, you get more powerful weapons but also get bigger and easier to hit. Still, it doesn't do much for me.

I'm curious what others think of it.

I wonder why that deck is nearly three times the price of the other add-on decks. It's more expensive that the SSFHD Pinball table, which really makes no sense to me.

...Whoa, wait. Did I just see a posting by Pixy???? Welcome back!

Why would I hate? Have you not played Pacifism in a while?

Seems like IGN agrees with you.

Funny, my copy of G.Wars2 only came with that mode.

I like Pacifism the best myself, but I would hardly call it passive. The death tolls are catastrophic.

I do have to say that Pacifism mode, not that it doesn't take skill, but compared to the other modes, feels less skill-based and more luck-based.

I'd like to argue with that, but there is a lot of luck involved. Then again if it was mostly luck wouldn't everyone have 500 million?

Definitely, lucky gate placement and hoping to have a cluster of grunts still around you as you pass through your third, fourth or fifth consecutive gate are big factors in it. Actually, I just haven't played that particular mode very often because I'm so addicted to Deadline and Waves. I almost forget about the other four modes (though I do like King, Evolved and Sequence a lot still).

This week on Arcade: Dortios' Dash of Destruction
The long journey for the Doritos promotion is finally over! The winning concept, Dash Of Destruction, will be available as a full arcade title this Wednesday. The best part is that is will be available for free.
