Is The Order worth $4? I heard some mixed reviews on the game but that pretty cheap for that price.

Decker 05-11-17 10:28 AM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Absolutely it's worth $4 if just for a single eight hour play-through.

mattysemo247 05-11-17 12:47 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Yep, easily worth $4 to play through once.

Super easy plat as well.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Ditto. Production values are very high. It's a no brainer at $4.

Super-underwhelming Flash Sale this weekend.
Not worth posting the highlights because I don't see any.

Funny you say that because this is the only sale in the last month or so with games I want to buy in it.

Which games?
It seems like at least half of them have already been PS Plus freebies.

Upon scouring the list, I might be interested in Axiom Verge (though I'm still convinced it will be a PS Plus freebie the moment I buy it), and Alien Pinball is great (but I already own it, natch).

I own like 1/3 of the list due to PS+ and other sales. The games I bought were 2064: Read Only Memories, One Way Trip and QUBE Directors Cut.

SOMA is worth mentioning

Thanks for the reply Decker!

How often (if ever) do the free games repeat? I was considering picking up "Everyone's Gone To the Rapture" (one sale for $5). I saw that it was a freebie back in November, and was wondering if it might be again anytime soon? Thanks again for any thoughts!

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I don't think they repeat all that much. The only ones that come to mind are Sony owned games, like the PixelJunk series, Flower, Flow, Journey, etc.

I'd bite on Rapture for $5. It's not much of a game, but it is a unique experience with one of the best soundtracks of recent memory.

I imagine that it's not very good, but there's something to be said for a full retail game that drops 50% a week after release.

Birthdays The Beginning <strike>$39.99</strike> $19.99

I didn't realize it until today but Shadow Warrior 2 is set to come out on this Friday 19th.....

There's an extended play sale right now:

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-...8-EXTENDED17LP

If you already checked out the sale on Tuesday, you might want to check again... more games seem to have been added.

Overwatch $38
Dark Souls 2 $12
Rise of the Tomb Raider $30
etc..

Decker 05-26-17 12:02 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Overwatch is a universal sale across all systems. The others you listed were there since the beginning of the sale.

I think it sucks that Mafia 3 is 25% off when it's currently 50% off on the Xbox One. Can't make heads or tails of that.

Yeah, i don't know what is new, but I remember checking on tuesday, and there was only 1.5 pages of PS4 games, now there's 2.5. So SOMETHING's new :) I think maybe the lego games? I for sure don't remember seeing those tuesday.

You may have looked before they were done adding all the games to the sale on Tuesday. Sometimes it takes a while for them to put up all the sale items.

Playstation Plus games for June 2017 in EU are :

Killing Floor 2
Life is Strange

We don't always get the same games, but we usually do. We should know for sure tomorrow.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Everyone should play Life is Strange

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I'm glad more people will have a chance to check out Killing Floor 2. I picked it up a few months ago when Gamestop had their exclusive physical copy on sale for $20. It was completely worth it. Think Left 4 Dead with more weapons, faster pace, bigger bosses, and heavy metal playing in the background.

This is the first month where I've already owned both PS4 games  I guess I'll consider myself lucky that it didn't happen sooner.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

It's like L4D? My best friend and I loved that game back in the day. I can never get him to grab the freebies (he says we never play them), but maybe I can sell him on this one...

mattysemo247 05-31-17 02:41 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

It's part L4D and part COD Zombies. It's wave based and has heavies mixed in. Most of the enemies reminded me of variants from L4D. I guess the only thing that kinda sucks is there isn't a story chapter mode like L4D.
