Re: Official PSN Games Thread

If somebody wants a Vita recommendation, that Silent Hill game is pretty fun. It's a Diablo clone set in Silent Hill's world. Looks good and plays well on the Vita. Have spent several plane rides playing it.

And if any of you have kids who like playing action games with you, I recommend Zombie Vikings at this sale price. It's made by the team that did Stick It To The Man. It was a nominee for that Vote for Your Free PS Plus Game last year, but lost to the mass of fecal excrement called Grow Home . Anyway, I bought it and my son and I have fun racing through a level together sometimes. It's cooperative but with some competitive parts as well, with an irreverent tone. A little like Castle Crashers.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Quick question. This is the first year I have ever really paid much attention to games on the PSN. I am curious to know if they usually have sales during Black Friday? And if so what to expect in ways of pricing reduction?

Oh and I am looking at games like Strider that are download only and not games that have also had physical sales.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Darn it just put the Bloodborne DLC on sale!

Eh, I guess I'll consider getting it complete digitally, but then I'm just empowering them...

Edited to add: I stand corrected, the DLC is on sale, but the complete package is only 20 bucks with Plus. Hmm.

Unless I'm missing something, it is on sale this week for $7.99. Is it called The Old Hunters?

Yeah when I first clicked on that link I didn't see the DLC. Still a fantastic deal for the complete edition if people don't already have it.

I don't have it. Never felt that compelled to pick up Bloodbourne since I suck at gaming, but at that price, I'm considering it...

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

FWIW...I suck at at that type of game....Dark Souls/Bloodborne....but with all the hype when it came out I bought it and along with a friend we played both solo and co-op. I've never played a game where it was a roller coaster of emotion; loved it...hated it. But no question it is unique, scary, full of surprises, enchanting, compelling, frustrating with a design and layout that is worth seeing. I never did finish...about 75% and never did get the Old Hunters dlc....heard it was hard. If they had fixed the co-op part where you don't have to look over you shoulders for invaders while fighting the demons. Even now if that game is anywhere below $20, it's worth it....

Has anyone played Fat Princess Adventures? Looks like a Gauntlet or Diablo kinda game. Worth $4.50 for the co-op?

They've been adding PS2 titles with trophy support to the PS4 for like a year now.

I played through it single player and I had fun with it. A decent hack and slash especially for less than $5.

I'll echo that. Fun couch co-op and more kid-friendly than Diablo III.

I don't know if there are any proud trophy whores on here, but if so, I highly recommend My Name is Mayo. It's cross-buy for $.99 for the PS4 and Vita. By far the easiest platinum trophies ever. Literally, just click on a mayonnaise jar and unlock "outfits" for it.

Oh, it's definitely worse. Didn't stop me from getting it though. In my defense, I never played the HM game.

I picked up Resogun for $3. Didn't realize it was similar to that old arcade game Defender. Man I suck at that. I'll have to try it sober sometime, because it just isn't happening when I'm high!

Resogun is amazing. Still one of the coolest/best games on PS4.
