Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I have most of those games already. At least I didn't already get Sportsfriends from Kickstarter -- I bet those who funded that game to get it made and then given away are pretty pissed.
Anyway, PSASBR is a pretty fun game on the PS3 (well, I enjoyed it to some degree -- many others were very disappointed with it) but it's almost unplayable on the PS Vita because of how small the fighters are on that system. Haven't played Horde in a long time, but I remember it being a pretty good pick up and play MP game for a while; is nothing else this should make it playable again online briefly.
TxK looks great and is a cool Tempest clone for the system. I like that game a lot and it's a nice PS Vita freebie to get.

And of course the star of the month is Velocity 2X. Still hard to believe they're giving away that game at launch as a free Cross-Buy title.

Yep. I am looking forward to Velocity 2x. I'll pick up all the Vita games too. I might give Sports Friends a go. I have heard good things about Yohan Sebastian Joust.

You need to have a Move (or the new camera for the PS4) set up to play it though.

Just found out that Joe Danger is a new release. They've done a lot to fine-tune it for the Vita, including adding those lab levels they stuck into the 360 version to make it allowable as an XBLA title after (gasp) it had been previously released on PSN. And they added Sackboy and iota as playable characters for the Vita version.

Of course they give us All-Stars, literally days after I cracked open my physical copy.

Haha, that's usually how it goes. I picked up both Sly Cooper and All-Stars during Black Friday for around $10 each. Have yet to open either but now both have been PS+ freebies this year. I just need to stop buying games for any of the Sony systems at this point. I just picked up Tearaway for the Vita, so that will probably be free next month.

Thanks. I picked up a camera. I need to tryout the playroom too.

I finished it tonight as well. One of the better PS+ freebies.

I feel kind of gross knowing that playing as Sackboy makes the game sound 10x more appealing to me.

I am the problem.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

In addition to the six freebies we are getting with PS Plus tomorrow, we will also be getting Don't Starve : Giant Edition for the Vita as well. It's Cross-Buy with the previously-free PS4 version. Nice bonus - game plus DLC for free. And it's the sort of game you can pick up and play whenever on the Vita for short duration, with hours and hours of content if you're a masochist.

Anyone who passes up SSX for that price is insane.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Well, I was able to pick up Don't Starve : Giant Edition (Vita) for free from the PSN website, but not from the console PSN store. Anyway, to give you not only the free Vita version, but also the DLC on the Vita for free with a previously free PS Plus PS4 game is awfully nice of them.

It's not showing up as free for me. Was it a glitch?

Nevermind. Have to add it to my cart for it to change to free. Weird.

Yeah, that's pretty sweet. I didn't buy the game, just downloaded it for "free" when it was a Plus freebie and now I got this for free as well.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Sitting on the Mass Effect trilogy just in case there's a PS4 version. There have been some rumors already.

Agree that Don't Starve free on Vita is a very "cool Sony" (from the WiiU thread title) thing to do. Most of my issues with that game were with the UI, so I might have to try it out with the touch screen.

Vita absolutely killing it again this month on PS+ with Velocity 2x, PS All-Stars, TkX and Joe Danger...not to mention Don't Starve if you had the previous PS4 freebie.

And I just have to say that Velocity 2X is so ridiculously god damn good!

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Not yet, but I've seen some glowing reviews and look forward to giving it a run on Vita. Wish it had a PS4 version (with cross-buy).

I'm really loving this new era of shmups that play a bit like rhythm games instead of bullet hells.
