I remember reading that the game was nearly complete and was on time for the original June 23th date but a delay for polishing purposes is not a bad idea.
I guess with other games that came out in May (UFC, inFamous) and are coming out in June (Prototype, Ghostbusters, Fight Night Round 4) would kind of hurt sales. This looks like a great game and can't wait for the release. |

Since I'm so sure I'm going to play this game, I'm avoiding the preview coverage. I know games aren't like movies, but does anyone else think they might be giving too much away? Since all of the rogues have been redesigned, I think it would be cool to encounter that in the game. They'll make for some nice surprises. Ultimately, it's no big deal, but I want to go in this game knowing little to no more than I know right now.

I really wish they'd get all of the main villains into the game, because everything looks great and I'd really like this to be the "end-all" Batman game that I've been waiting for.

I tried it out at EB and it was awesome...i read the demo is suppose to be released on the PSN and XBL soon. |

Yeah, the demo was fun bot limited to the combat only. If the game were only a beat-em-up, I could see it getting old. Instead it seems to be a stealth game with beat-em-up sensibilities. that sounds sweet and I hope they can pull it off.

I think they've done this before, most recently with the more recent Tomb Raider game. They told places that if they were going to give it a bad review, wait a week to publish it so the metacritic score wouldn't be too low.

Too bad. The last Tomb Raider was actually good despite the camera issues and the disappearing rain in one level.
Actions like that make it very difficult when reading reviews. That's a problem for people like me where mom and pop rentals seem to have phased out games and so we rely on reviews. |

Help me decide : PS3 CE for $81 after ECA discount or regular version for $48 after the discount? I never spend that much on a gmae, but it seems like a pretty good deal for what you get and compared to the MSRP for that one.

Someone on CAG put up pics of the SE from E3. I guess the Batarang is plastic, so that's a little disappointing. I still don't know which way to go -- I have both versions preordered for now. No way I'd buy at $100, but at $82 it's still tempting.

Its a shame I will not preorder it for the 360, because they seemed fit to have the Joker available for ONLY the PS3 version. There has been no announcement for a 360 character, like they did with Soul Caliber, so I will be buying this game used so that the people who made the game will see no money. What makes them think it is OK to piss off ps3 fans or 360 fans by doing something like this? |

It's 1 stupid challenge room with the Joker, no big deal. Buy the 360 version and be happy with it. Or DL the Joker a month later since it will most likely hit the marketplace.

Apparently, Eidos will allow publishers to break the review embargo provided they give the game a 9.0 or better. It seems those asshats didn't learn anything from the Kane and Lynch fiasco.
I want this game to be good, I really do. I remain extremely skeptical... ...and I await DVDTalk's glowing review. ;) |
