They have FIVE week days to ship it. seems a bit long to me honestly. The first console I got OVERNIGHT service. This is my 4th or 5th one now....I should get some sort of Priority. Oh well. MS must use the cheapest shipping available.

god don't get me started on UPS. Mine was supposed to arrive friday, but they need a signature in person. So I asked them to hold it at will call and I'll go pick it up. Go to Will Call monday morn....and "oh, it's still on the truck". They tried to deliver it a second time after I told them no one is ever going to be home.

I'm not one to beg, but MS makes things difficult. I just bought a 120 GB HD off ebay. If anyone has a data migration kit they'd be willing to loan me, I'd certainly appreciate it and can paypal for shipping and for their trouble. PM me if anyone has a kit they could loan out. Thanks.

edit -- I'm taken care of. Thanks.

It might be a bit longer for people waiting to receive their 360's back...

According to my UPS tracking number, my 360 is now sitting in Dallas, with "Adverse weather beyond UPS's control" being the cause of the problem. So, at this rate, it could be a day, two, three, four... Who knows?

My fingers are itching, waiting to get back to "Castle Crashers" and to play my copy of "Rock Band 2."

Already got my UPS label and dropped it off today. Boxed it up myself. Couldn't wait and went out and bought an arcade unit with some of my gamestop credit. Wanted HDMI anyway for new home theater. When the repaired one comes back I will either put it downstairs or trade it into gamestop.
pretty impressed. got my return label emailed last tuesday. mailed in the 360 last wednesday. ups scheduled for return delivery tomorrow !!! one week turnaround? had i known it would be that quick, i wouldn't have bought the arcade unit last week as a replacement. oh well.....wanted an hdmi unit (will be ticked though if they send me back an hdmi unit. if they do i will probably keep it as i found a 20 gb hard drive for 24.99 on clearance today at target)

IKE should not be effecting the shipments back. Mine shipped from Mesquite, TX on the 16th and is now sitting in Earth City, MO. Still target date of the 22nd for delivery.

I want to give props to MSFT for putting up some Rock The Vote information on XBLA. The convention speeches for both candidates and their VPs are up on the marketplace.

That's really great on MS's part. We need the younger generation to get out there and vote. And this is an excellent way to spearhead that.

That's awesome...my wife has been wanting to see Biden and McCain's speeches, and now we can download. Thanks for the heads-up.

I heard about that on Major Nelson's podcast so I went looking for it last night on the marketplace... looked some more... and looked some more... couldn't find shit. Hopefully the new Dash improves the marketplace greatly.

Sooo... where do I find the speeches?

I doubt it - I just DLed last night, didn't watch them yet. But at ~333mb each, I think not.

I found them via one of the advertising areas on the dashboard.

Have you ever known anyone or anything that was actually in a rush to get to Michigan?

With UPS, it absolutely wouldn't surprise me. I've seen it take four days to come to Indiana from Carol Stream, IL, which is three hours away.

Pro NFL teams. They like coming to Detroit lately (well, for the past 50+ years).

Yeah, UPS is usually pretty accurate in the estimates...just seems odd. I want to play NHL 09 and Madden 09 with the patch/rosters...grrrr.

Got my new Elite in today and was surprised to see an HDMI cable in there. Anyone know if it is 1.3 compliant?

The X360, following the release of Tales of Vesparia, Infinite Undiscovery and the price cut, was the #1 selling console in Japan last week. (The Wii sold 27k, the 360 sold 28k, the PS3 sold 8k.)

I know kids, I'm afraid too.

(It'll be back to normal in a week or so.)

Go 360 Go!

I hope the 360 keeps doing well in Japan; with the number of solid Japanese RPG's, it really deserves it.

I think you can also DL a gamerpic of your favorite candidate. They're doing a LIVE poll based on the DL pics.
