Luckily, dogmeat is the easiest follower to get killed. I'd be surprised if he could handle a molerat on his own.

That is because dogmeat is basically canon fodder. Enemies tend to attack dogmeat instead of you. Good for you, bad for dog meat. Also dogmeat charges in, and routinely gets hammered by the long range bombers. Big reason why I don't give melee weapons to my followers.

Which quest are you doing? I don't remember having to go there.

So true...this is one Bethesda armor download I might actually pay for.

It's the quest to d/l all the vault locations. I think there's a 4th computer right by the door that's supposed to open (at the near end of the catwalk?)- but that's just off the top of my head - can't remember much about the room layout at the moment.

I was wondering about the cases - 9/10 - figured all 10 would be an achievement, but I guess not. Any ideas about getting the gauss repaired now that I'm out? Is it like the T-51B armor? Gotta get someone else to repair it because there are no comparable parts to mix and match?

The cases are for the Covert Ops perk and nothing else. I was maxed out on Lockpick, Science, and Small Guns (it gives +3 to each) so I didn't need it.

It has been a long time, but I think there was just a little backtracking--at least I remember wandering around thinking something was wrong (even going to all the floors) then going down a hall I'd been down before and finding an open door.

I got stuck there too. I can't remember I was able to get access or not. But I remember that I couldn't find one computer for some reason.

heh I am pissed.

Question for those that have killed some rivet security guards...Do you have problems getting into the market? The market is 'red' doored 24 hours a day now. But everyone is still green to me, I wonder if this is a glitch.

So pick the lock?

Sounds like a glitch to me.

Thats not the issue, I have the hangar key, I can go in anytime, but then I get shot at, because I am not suppose to be in there (even though it is in the open hours)

You should be able to wait a few days. I pissed off Rivet City but they calmed down in about 3 days.

So I traded this away in early January and missed it so much that I traded back fo rit. I spent a good 4 hours on a new quest last night and absolutely loved it. First time I have ever actually missed playing a game... kinda weird :D

Yeah, great game.

I was listening to MajorNelson's podcast yesterday and he was interviewing one of the FEAR's developers. He mentioned how he's a big Fallout 3 fan and how he enjoys discovering new thing every time. Good to see even people in the industry are enjoying the game.

I've run into a glitch with the DLC. I'm on the level where I need to secure the Listening Post, but for some reason it won't let me do it. I've killed everyone inside and out, I've gone through over and over, gone all the way back to the entrance to the level to make sure a enemy didn't run away, but I can't seem to complete this task. I've gone through every walkthrough I can find to make sure I didn't miss a cloaked Crimson Dragoon guy and I've gotten all of them. Anyone else had this problem?

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

Nope, I finished it easily.

FinkPish 02-08-09 04:01 AM

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

Well, for some reason that problem fixed itself. When I started the game from my last save today, there were 3 new enemies waiting for me, whom I killed, which finished that task for me.

Looks like the Pitt and Broken Steel DLC is getting pushed back. Now coming out in March and April. The level cap would be increased in April now as well.

I kinda had the same issue.

I couldn't find anyone else to kill, so I went and did another mission and when I came back, it was still the same. It seems I needed to kill a chinese technician, one that wasn't fighting, he was just there in a control panel. I saw him the first time, but I thought he was part of my team...

Anyone had issues with the Head of State Quest?

Spoiler:
Right after you talk to hannibal, he says he is going to get over to the memorial, well I went to the memorial, its been days, and he still hasn't shown up..and he is not at the temple of union either bleh

Yeah that's a known glitch superdeluxe. Most fo the time for me I just waited I think 3-4 days and he and the crew eventually showed up.

Raul3 02-09-09 01:05 PM

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

Yeah, had that issue too. I waited for several days, I searched several guides and FAQs, I have the official guide, and it said that he was going to be there waiting for you, but no luck.
So you just have to be patient.
