But what if you already paid for the game? Will you get it for free instead? Or do you still pay $60-85?

The problem with the target clearance deals, like OB, is that they're too good... the trade in value (at somewhere like EBGames or Blockbuster's Gamerush) are higher than the clearance price, so you'll get hoarders (even non ebay ones) picking them up.

Yeah, I love that game. So much so that I'm almost through my 7th playthrough.

I finished it in 11 hours, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. Also, I didn't try to find all the stuff hidden in the game.
The game is kinda easy, but pretty enjoyable. It certainly is my favorite PS3 game.

^ Same. I spent about 11-12 hours on it as well. It took me a while to figure out the shooting/aiming in the beginning so I spent more time there than I'm sure most typical players would.

I just got a PS3 about 3 weeks ago and I just got around looking through the Playstation store.
How often are the games updated? Specifically PS1 games.. any chance we'll see FFVII or Metal Gear Solid on there anytime... ever?

I can say that given S-E's track history, you're not likely to see any FF game on the download service anytime soon. More likely to see it revisited on the DS or PSP or PS3 remake and/or compilation than offered there.

Star Ocean has some PSP remakes coming, so I doubt they'll show up on the download circuit.
MGS1 is in the Japanese PSN store, but no word about here yet. Here's the list of PSN games rated by the ESRB that aren't in the store yet (US only, stolen from GAF ):
-Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
-Castlevania Chronicles
-Pandemonium
-Rayman
-Street Fighter Alpha
-Suikoden
-Super Buster Brothers Collection
-Wipeout XL
Suikoden looks the most promising for me. I wish they'd release Suikoden II as well, so I don't have to pay a king's ransom on ebay when I finally want to play them.
