Well, you stated that you were going to pick it up, which most would take to mean buying it. Maybe he was trying to steer you to the demo before you paid $.

But then, I'm probably wrong. No one would buy it before playing the demo, right?

argh923 07-14-08 12:48 PM

I never play demos. So yeah.

UncleGramps 07-14-08 12:53 PM

Personally, I can't imagine dropping 10 (or even 5) dollars on an XBLA game without trying the demo first, but to each their own.

You're exactly why I put that subscript in there ;) Well you and one of our missing homies *pours 40 into the street*

Michael Corvin 07-14-08 01:16 PM

Where is pixy?

UncleGramps 07-14-08 01:17 PM

Pixy went AWOL after we teased him about his gaming tastes. :(

pinata242 07-14-08 01:19 PM

Geometry Wars 2 - IN AUGUST!

Michael Corvin 07-14-08 01:19 PM

I remember him saying something and thought he was joking. Man. It's fine to lose an Ocelot every once in a while. You never want to lose a pixy.

pinata242 07-14-08 01:20 PM

Here comes Galaga: Legions!

pinata242 07-14-08 01:20 PM

Galaga: Legions also in August. I think I had a seizure watching it.

pinata242 07-14-08 01:20 PM

Now GLADoS is showing off Portal: Still Alive.

pinata242 07-14-08 01:21 PM

South Park game...

Michael Corvin 07-14-08 03:45 PM

Looks like the original Banjo Kazooie is coming to XBLA this holiday season according to Joystiq.

slop101 07-14-08 04:13 PM

Oh, wow - done in HD (hopefully with increased polygons/improved textures), the original BK would be great - and while we're at it, why not add Banjo Tooie into the same package?

montag 07-15-08 11:22 AM

Forget what's coming out in August. What's coming out tomorrow?

pinata242 07-15-08 11:24 AM

Great, now I have to read complete threads before I post.

:D

Thanks.

pinata242 07-15-08 11:30 AM

Great, now we have to repeat everything every day just in case you decide to check today.

:D

You're welcome.

More Banjo news. We finally get to see what's behind that locked door... sorta...

Many will remember that the first Banjo-Kazooie game promised to interact with Banjo-Tooie. That didn't pan out, but that feature will finally be realized on Xbox 360. By finding specific items in Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live Arcade, you will be able to unlock things in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

Hopefully that means Banjo-Kazooie is right around the corner so we can get through it before Nuts & Bolts comes out.

Well, in the first surprise XBLA release since Pac-Man CE, it seems that a title was sprung on an unsuspecting population today. The new game (to go along with the previously announced Crossword game) is Double D Dodgeball. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have anything to do with enormous breasts and actually looks like a sucky version of Pong. It's available to suckers everywhere for a mere 800 points.

Well they had to get it out before Pirates vs. Ninjas.

Lame. Glad it's today's release as well and not next Wednesday's like I thought when I first saw the headlines this morning.

Next Wednesday is 1942 Joint Strike. Much better than certain other Wednesdays which shall remain nameless...

pinata242 07-16-08 03:45 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about JS. That's an almost-definite purchase unless the demo just doesn't do it for me. And  to Geometry Wars 2 coming 2 weeks later. Good times.
