Unless you'll never buy another game from Amazon, it's the same amount out of your pocket either way, just more now, less later rather than an even split (here we go again!). I don't know the answer to your question, but why risk it?

Amazon question: If I cancel my pre-order for Halo Reach, which had a 25$ promotional discount applied from the Comic Book snafu, will the promotion go back into my account or is that a pain to deal with? (wanting to cancel, use it on Red Dead Redemption, and then order Halo later with the code from that)

The few times I have canceled an order with a promo discount, it has always gone back into my account without trouble.

That's probably the best route, more-so because I still had prime when I ordered Halo.

Buy One Family Game, Get the Second for 50% Off

For a limited time, buy one Xbox 360 family game, get the second (of lesser value) for 50% off. Both items must be added to your cart, discount will be applied at check-out.

Titles include:
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection
Lego Batman
Lego Indiana Jones 2
Lego Rock Band

among others. Lots of animated movie tie-in games.

I've only played about 2 hours of Chaotic but it is a decent family title/animated tie-in. It has a little bit of a Pokemon feel to it.

Wow, I JUST bought a Wii on March 15th from Amazon. What a pleasant kick in the head seeing the latest offers!

I wish they would match the supposed sale titles at Kmart. I really don't want to deal with Kmart but I'm not holding out much hope for Amazon to match them.

what is there to "deal with"? I ordered mine yesterday, and UPS is delivering it today. Amazon can't beat that.

Well, for one, it won't let me order Bayonetta online. Amazon can beat that because, well, it would actually send it to me if I asked.

Deal with going into the story and getting half assed around by their staff over a deal that is supposed to be going on. If I can't walk into the store and get the deal then why should I bother ordering it online? Is it that hard for them to read their memos and know what is supposed to be on sale?

I walked into K-Mart this afternoon and got the deal without saying a word.

It's like a condom in a teens wallet: never used.

Great price, I find it funny though that neither GH: Metallica or GH: Van Halen have come anywhere close to this price. Of course those two would be the ones I'm actually interested in.

Decker, May 2009 : "I'm never buying a Guitar Hero game at anywhere close to MSRP again. They drop in price like a stone".

Decker, August 2009 : "Wait, you mean I get a $10 game credit AND a free copy of Guitar Hero Van Halen? Well that sounds like an AWESOME deal!!".

I picked it up with my $10 credit from SSFIV. I didn't think I'd ever get it, but there's actually a decent amount of good songs on there. And for under $5, it's a no-brainer.

That story sounds familiar, though I'd add the following:

jdpatri, October 2009 : "Wow GH:VH is a piece of shit. I guess I can use this PROMO-ONLY disk as a coaster."

No More Heroes 2 is $27.99.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

Split / Second (360) + $10 VG Credit = $45.98
