No More Heroes 2 is $34.99 today. I'd guess that it will go much lower given a month or two.

And Madworld is in my Goldbox for $7.something, which is kind of tempting.

I can use mine right away at least. I'm hoping to get a cheap 60 after people start upgrading.

I'm just trying to figure out the best way to org my stuff, I'm thinking XBL titles on the USB, 2 full game discs on the HD, and game saves on the IMU.

I would recommend game saves on the USB so you can periodically back them up to a PC if desired.

Good point, though if I try to over complicate things I'll probably end up accidentally deleting everything.

Is yours going to be about making sure your power cord is fully plugged in at all times now?

Guy was pondering a new approach to storing his content. I gave another perspective. If my experiments offend you, I will refrain from sharing in the future.

Some folks at CAG mentioned that the PC can't read the 360 data. So how do you copy it?

pinata242 04-16-10 03:00 PM

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

It can't read the files contained within the 360's filesystem, but it can copy and restore the entire filesystem.

See one of my so-many-that-it's-now-the-only-thing-I-harp-about posts on this subject ;)

You might want to specify the system, as sometimes they have a deal on only one or the other.

It's only $11.99 at the moment, but you better hurry because there's only 3 left in stock. Link

Firefox->Tools->PriceDrop->Tracked Products
It won't tell you when it hits 29.99, but it will tell you when the price changes.

OK, I'm not sure if these are deals or not, but I'm a sucker for at least considering LEs...
Deathsmiles LE
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=468642
Looks like a soundtrack CD and a faceplate and the game for 49.99. It's apparently a shooter featuring five gothic Lolitas...I'm assuming it's Japanese. I don't really care about faceplates though.
And from the same company
Record of Agarest War
http://www.amazon.com/Record-Agarest...bxgy_vg_text_b RPG
Again, placing odds this one is originally Japanese...the bonuses here are a pillowcase...and a mouse pad with breasts, er, wrist rest. And the soundtrack CD. Regular price, but with boni. My interest is piqued by the screenshot of the character status and this comment, "Choose a bride at the end of your adventure and give birth to the hero of the next generation", although that could just be a cutscene, but it loses credibility points for using the word "ginormous" in the description.

Crap, I just noticed it's a turn based strategy. OK, my interest level is up more.
I can't tell if it's mocking or not....
- use of "ginormous"
- the goodies
- package subtitled "really naughty edition"
- one of the enemies in the screen shot is "Jumbo Cock"
At least it's not subtle...

Both from Aksys, and apparently from the reviews, that company releases LEs then a little later regular editions - not sure if for the same price [so the extras are "free"] or for cheaper.

The Saboteur is $17.99 (360/PS3) at Amazon.

There's also a 5% Off combo deal for the 360 version and Prima game guide ($30.68 total).

Absolutely. Crackdown is the premier sandbox game imo.

Another vote for Crackdown. About the best compliment I can pay to an open world game is that it reminds me of Crackdown.

Don't want to threadcrap :)...but Newegg matched this price and they have free shipping (and usually their free shipping is a lot quicker than Amazon's). Needless to say I finally bit on this title.

In fairness, I think most people's free trial to Prime ran out a few weeks ago ;)

I order from Amazon so much that $79/yr for Prime is money well spent. :)
