Amazon has Halo Wars Limited Edition in their Gold Box right now for $35.99
I picked it up for $20 at Target but I think it's worth it even at that price for the maps that come with it |

Agreed, but remember, those maps are also part of ODST, so if you were going to get that anyway, you probably don't need the LE.

Right, but with this deal you are still getting the LE for the same price as the standard game.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
Fair enough, but actually Amazon beats all the sellers on half.com right now. Not to mention none of them have the codes and I have never seen a second hand tin in good condition.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
Deal of the Day Tues 8/18/09
Peggle Dual Shot $9.98 (regular $19.99). Yes, I've bought this game three times already (Pop Cap PC, ipod, XBLA), but with ECA, Amazon Prime and (hopefully) that $5 MP3 credit, this was too good to pass up. Besides, this will be my first crack at the Peggle Nights levels. |
Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
I bought Peggle Dual Shot on clearance at Target for $14 but ended up taking it back because I got Peggle on the iPhone for $1 the same week. The iPhone is just too convenient to bother with the DS version.
Unrelated, but I really hope Amazon comes through with a deal on Prime sometime soon. I'm tired of hunting for filler items. When did they do that $60 deal last time? |

My office UPS guy thinks I'm crazy. He walks into the office and asks "Ok, what did you get today?" |
When I was looking at six months worth of my Amazon orders, I didn't think Prime would be worth it. But, I signed up anyway. I've ordered more from them in the last few months than I ever had, including stuff I could just as easily get with a stop at Target. Getting it with Prime is one less stop I have to make.
I ordered $6 worth of packing tape yesterday. |
Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
Thanks Decker. Hopefully they'll do it again this year.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
You can also "share" Prime with up to 5( or 4, don't remember) people at different addresses. This is always what I do and just split the cost with others, makes it a no brainer decision.

How does this work? Do you share the same login account or something?
edit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...odeId=13819211 How do I share Amazon Prime with members of my household? Inviting family members to share your Amazon Prime membership is easy. There you will see a list of your current membership, the status of all members linked to your Amazon Prime membership, and options to add or remove members. * To add a member: Enter the person's name, relationship, e-mail address and birthday in the appropriate fields and click "Invite." An invitation e-mail message automatically will be sent to the e-mail address you entered. Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
Well, turns out a friend of mine already had prime and had no issues adding me. Problem is that I have yet to receive a confirmation email. The site said I'm signed up and gave me a screen to wait for a confirmation email. On my friends end, he's still waiting for me to confirm. This was sometime yesterday afternoon. Does it usually take this long?

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
I got the invite almost instantly (we were chatting while he invited me), clicked the link and put in his and my birthday and that's where I get the page that says a final confirmation email will be on its way. That's the email I haven't received.
*edit - weird, it appears to be working. When I click "Manage Amazon Prime Membership" I get Important Message Your account has been cancelled. You are not currently subscribed to Amazon Prime. Click here to sign up. |
Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .
Last question, is there a way to change something you already pre-ordered to have Prime shipping?
