By the way, that's why John Candy remarks "Funny, she doesn't look Druish" when finding out they were escorting a Druid princess in Space Balls. Obviously, a joke that requires this much explanation is a total dud, but I felt I had to explain myself as the original poster thought I was slamming his deal. That was not the case.

fuck. i don't think the wife will approve of this b/c i was planning on buying a regular blu ray player for the bedroom. maybe i'll just move my existing one in there and use the ps3 now. only downside is i wanted something with netflix streaming in the bedroom for the wife and kid. i wouldn't have that if i moved my old blu-ray player in there. ahhhh shit. i'm gonna pull the trigger. hope the wife doesn't murder me.

Thing is, if I get another PS3, I'll have four Blu-ray players for a house with two TV's (PS3 in the living room, Samsung in my bedroom, and got a Panasonic for free when I bought my current bedroom TV).

And that just seem gluttonous.

Should I get a regular blu-ray player or this PS3 deal for my first blu-ray player? I have no interest in playing PS3 games.

Basically, are there better blu-ray players out there for less than the cost of a PS3, even with the $100 Amazon credit?

If you have a lot of media on your computer, you can use the PS3 to stream from that or you can use the PS3 as its own media center as well. The netflix streaming works really well from what I have been told. Just some other things to consider if you are on the fence.
