I rented it last night, with the hope that it would be a half decent rental. I knew it would never live up to its hype, though. And it didn't. I'm really disappointed by it. It's mediocre at best and comes complete with bugs (I got stuck trying to walk by a fucking WEED,) terrible partner AI (why does he only listen to me half of the time? Why does he feel the need to drag me the long way through enemy fire, just to let himself get shot/killed and make me have to restart from 10 minutes prior?) and a very repetitive and mediocre single player campaign. I've played for four hours and I'm already pretty bored.

6/10, GLAD I didn't buy it.

I think you review is pretty appropriate. But, if you play it in co-op mode the game is great. Seriously, it's not Gears of War quality, but it's damn fun.

Love the concept, but so far behind in games that perhaps I'll wait until this is $20 or less.

I picked this up at my new Best Buy's grand opening (I got a $25 gift card when I walked in). I got it to tide me over until R6: Vegas 2 comes out . I'm not sure it will cut it, though. The controls seem sluggish to me, and the partner AI isn't all it's cracked up to be. And for some reason, this gives me a bit of motion sickness, where most games will not.

Just finished it last night. Obviously, they set up for a sequel. Not much of a "final" battle. But, the last level is extremely hard on the contractor level. We are going to play on the hardest setting, and I'm already not looking forward to it. For what it is, I'm happy with the purchase. Even though the single player is pretty short, I had a great time with my buddy. Now I'm looking forward to playing the online with him. I've played with random people and it totally sucks because they never coordinate with you.

just spent a few hours in co-op with a friend...

what a blast... this is really fun co-op play...

and some of the best weapon tweaking i've seen in a game...

barrels and stocks and etc...

I haven't had a chance to play it Co-op with a friend, but I expect it to be better with a friend because it would eliminate the partner A.I. problems. However, that still won't make the game any less repetitive or more fun. I was going to play through it with a friend the night I started it, but the only friend who was playing it online was getting offline for the night.

I just got a chance to rent this game and I have got to agree with most of the opinions here. It is an ok game but not great. I have not played co-op yet though. Also the guns seem underpowered. I will run up to a guy w/ a heavy MG and have to unload about 20 rounds in to him, I am on casual right now.

I am having a hard time finding a strategy that works. If I tell my partner to atract attention he never seems to get red enough for me to take out any enemies. If I try to atract the attention he doesn't take out many at all. If I try to snipe I run out of ammo. Why in a game like this am I running out of ammo so quick?

I played the co-op demo and loved it. This game has moved up on my most wanted list.

I thought it was decent, but a definite rental.

Crap I finnished this game already. It is no more than 7 hours max. I was just starting to get into it. The cut scenes are great looking though.

I played the demo yesterday. It seems like a weird mix of Gears of War and R6V. And not a good weird.

Re: Army of Two...

Did anyone download and play the free and non-free DLC for this game?

A friend of mine and I recently finished it and I saw it had some various DLC for it. We had no interest in going online and playing other teams but wondered if the DLC included two- man missions and if they were worth the cost?
