Army of Two...
Didn't see a thread for this. No reviews out. All of the hands-on previews look promising. Looks like the few month delay helped to "polish" the game.
Anyone else looking forward to this?

Totally looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, my box RROD'd so I won't be able to play it on release, but it'll be awesome to run through co-op when I get it back.

when I played it split screen back in Sept, I got the standard "over hyped EA game" feel for it...hopefully the polish made is good. I'm guessing 7/10 reviews for this one.

I heard they've made a lot of improvements after delaying the release, but they apparently have a lot of ground to make up as early builds sucked pretty bad.

I'm really curious about the AI for the other team mate when playing single missions.

I was thinking this would be another Conflict: Denied Ops. But I saw that X-Play just gave it 4 Stars (out of 5). So I might have to pick this up.

I wasn't really paying to much attention to this one for the small fact that it seemed like it was going to be a gimmick game where if you weren't playing with another person it was going to be total garbage and a waste of money, but I have been reading a few tidbits here and there about the game and am actually pretty excited about maybe renting it or even picking it up and taking it for a spin. It looks cool. I just need to make sure I have a friend who is going to get it as well.

IGN has given the game a 7.9 (out of 10).
"As a single player experience, Army of Two is a fine game -– one that manages to provide a fun, engaging time despite its length, AI issues and elements that don't seem fully implemented. However, it's really co-op play and multiplayer where the game stands out, and these two modes will most likely keep you playing for a long time."

Picked it up tonight. Can't wait to play co-op. A buddy of mine played co-op Crackdown and we had the best time with that.

Played thru the first 3 or 4 levels on co-op and i think it's a lot of fun. It reminds me of Gears of War, a lot of running and gunning and ducking for cover. The controls take some getting used to as well but once ya get everything down it's a blast.
Also the chit-chat between the main characters is funny as hell. "I think we found his base." "Really? What gave you that fucking idea? Was it the guards in the tower? Or the ones at the gate holding fucking machine guns!" or something like that.

Yeah, played last night with my buddy. We were having fun. There's so much to the game in terms of variety, it's fantastic. I don't like how you switch weapons, but if that's my only gripe, I'll live with it.

After playing until 3am, I'm already bored with the game
It's as mediocre as I anticipated. The game has 1 gimmick that it uses the entire time, with a shallow story so far and boring gun play. You hide here and shoot while I run around behind them. They really fixed up the graphics from when I played it last year, but that seems to be about it. Unless the last part of the game completely blows me away, I'd give it a 6/10.

Does anybody know or have an estimate as to long it takes to complete this game playing co-op? My cousin and I want to rent it, and are hoping we can beat it within the rental period without having to play 8 hours a day.

8 hours a day x 3 days = 24 hours, yeah I think it's safe to say it's shorter.

But I'm guessing with our schedules, we'd get a maximum of 2 hours per day. What is a typical Hollywood Video rental period, 5 days? So that comes to 10 hours. Sounds like enough time, but I just wanted to be sure.

Played it last night with a friend. I'd give it...2 out of 5. A good concept, but a lot of the teamwork situations seem forced. The weapons are very inaccurate as well. The thing that really got me though, was the camera angle. I think it would have worked better as a first person shooter.
The suicide bombers are hilarious though.
