I got to the last boss and cannot beat him. I don't like that you cannot save once you pass a certain point near the end. You have a couple hard fights before the big boss.

I beat TWEWY the other day. Absolutely love it. Probably my favorite game on the system. And agreed with Pixy that this game isn't leaving my DS any time soon, because there's so much more to do now.

True, retrying the battles is nice. But as I was playing before bed, I had to turn it off to get to sleep and that is why I have to go back through that section again.

I thought about doing something like that as well.

Just to keep things from being a one-sided love-fest:

Glad many of you stuck with this game. Almost everyone I know that played it stopped a few hours in and put it aside. Everyone I talked to had the same complaint of not liking the stylus controls and just not really understanding what the hell was going on with the game and the dual screen fighting.
I can't help much. I put the game fully on auto and never even look at the top screen during battles so I'm not going to master this one. I like it though and will try to stick with it. I've been dying a lot though so it seems a lot of level grinding is required before boss battles.

You should only have to look up if you want to grab fusion stars or are fighting a boss (when dodging is a bit more important). Also, I've fought every boss up to the end at EXTREMELY low levels, usually 1 to 10, the only thing you gain from a level up is HP. Making sure you're always feeding your characters is more important than your essentially arbitrary level number.

I'm even guilty of this scratching thing on Ninja Gaiden DS when things start getting crazy.
And yes, this is definitely a game that validates a Hori screen protector purchase.

This is maybe the second or third video game chachki I've seen you post that was homemade. Keep this up and soon you'll have to open Pixy's Emporium to satisfy dorks at large.
You seem pretty crafty, so if you can paint, you should look into Munny's. Their DIY designer dolls you can paint to spec.

Yeah, making game swag can be fun, I think it's rubbing off on me from my girlfriend who makes jewelry and goes to craft shows and such (she made me a clay Companion Cube for my birthday). She's actually trying to get me to scout ideas for video game related jewelry and all I could think of were Slime Earrings from Dragon Quest. Blargh.

Mingle mode was used to great advantage today while at Toys R Us to download Darkrai.
Once I finished with that I put this game back in and left it in mingle mode. I was able to score quick 10 connections over and over from all the active DS systems downloading and trading Pokemon and leveled up several pins within minutes.
I'm still taking my time on day 5 and really starting to love the combat. I'm getting the star rating almost every time now and starting to get effective with the top screen though I will lose it in some battles and have to give it back to the CPU. Overall though I'm having a blast.
I'm keeping it on normal with max drops and doing 4 battles at a time. I seem to be racking up money and experience pretty quickly this way. Feeding them is also real important as Pixy mentioned. It is the only way besides clothes to raise their stats like attack and defense.
I will say the game is reaching that tipping point where I'm seriously considering it one of the best DS games I have ever played. I'm a huge fan of New Super Mario Bros, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow and Advance Wars: Dual Strike, but this one is seriously challenging those as my favorite. I'll see when I reach the end.

Hrm, i may have to advance in this game some before i hit up Origins later this month. It is a very large board game convention and i imagine a few people will have their DS on them. Do i actually have to turn mine on and actively buy pins when i am near someone or can i leave it in mingle mode all day and then check things out in the evening after the con?

I've had no luck finding anyone for the good ESP connections, but I'm finally figuring out how the evolutions work. I guess certain pins only evolve while in mingle mode, others only in standby and some just in battles.
I'm on my second day with Joshua now. Sucky partner honestly, but I guess the game was meant to get harder now.
