Luckily I have several USB cables sitting around when I need to charge more than one.

How hard is it to map those two functions to one of the 12 buttons (including d-pad) on the controller? Oh well, looks like Lair remains broken.

Just noticed this product for sale that could answer many of our Guitar Hero issues on the PS3.
http://store.theantcommandos.com/pro...r-ps3-adpt.htm
I have used my PS2 controller with a generic PS2 to USB adaptor and it works for GHI and II, but does not allow whammy bar or hammer ons and pull offs. This looks like it could be the ultimate solution if it works as advertised. It is supposed to make the PS2 guitars compatible with the PS2 GH games, PS3 GHIII and PS3 Rockband.
It is $20 and is supposed to ship in the next couple of weeks. I ordered one and when I get it I will test it out and let everyone know if it works. They also have $50 guitars that work with all games as well, but I already have a perfectly good Red Octane PS2 guitar and would rather use that and save the money. I don't need a whole collection of plastic guitars.

New PSN Store is much improved, even with broken image links.

New store is really nice and navigating is fast. Hopefully the images are there in the morning. I want the Stardust add on. DTS-MA support is also nice to finally have.

I'm happy to see the update and the new store. A small part of me really hoped something for home would be tacked on with the update but the rest of me knew better.
The redesign is so good that I found a downloadable game that I might get. I am sure it was there before but I just never had the patience to sit and browse for it.

I just purchased the new upgrade pack for Super Stardust HD and now you now get to make custom soundtracks.
EDIT:
The new game modes are pretty fun too. there is an unlimited mode that is really addicting. it was well worth the 5.00 for me just for this single addition.

Darn it, 2.30 didn't fix the problem with the resume play feature causing TV-episode DVDs to "resume" at the very beginning of the last episode that was watched instead of at the main menu where it should. I wish they'd at least include an option in BD/DVD Settings to disable resume play if they're not going to fix it. (Yes, I know I can open the options on the disc in XMB and choose to "Play from beginning," but I'd rather not have to work around a broken feature every time I continue watching a TV series.) My Sony DVD player did it correctly, so I know it's not a problem with the DVDs.

I pre-ordered the guitar anyway. It's still a few weeks away from release, I'll try to find out when I get it.

On the subject of the guitar. I read it again and it seems like the guitar works on both the PS2 and PS3 and lets you play the PS2 GH games on the PS3. Seems like the ultimate guitar if it works as claimed by TAC.

Sorry, I didn't explain that well; I missed a word. What I should've written was "... causing TV-episode DVDs to "resume" at the very beginning of the last episode that was watched instead of restarting at the main menu where it should." I don't need/want it to remember where I am in the menu (though that would be cool). I just want it to clear the resume point if I've completely finished an episode and I'm at the main menu when I exit playback, like every other player I've used. (Though maybe that's not as standard a feature on DVD players as I thought.)

You’ll be happy to know that after getting my ass handed to me in Unreal Tournament III Sunday night (using the controller I was consistently in last place on both instant action versus bots and online multiplayer) last night I hooked up a USB keyboard and mouse and was able to dominate the bots in instant action maps, and place mid list or better in online multiplayer games. I still have to tweak mouse sensitivity, and hope to start winning online deathmatch maps soon. Keyboard & mouse FTW!

My theory is that the PS2 is still their bread and butter, by nixing backwards compatibility, they are extending the PS2s life span. If all PS3s were backwards compatible, everyone would trade/sell their PS2s and Sony would lose a good chunk of those 200,000-400,000 new units they sell every month.
