finally found a Target selling Folklore for 15 bucks... I was going to grab it at 30, but each store had so many of them that I knew it would go down. On the other hand, it's sad that the game seemed to tank so quickly... didn't it only come out a few months ago?

I've also been wondering where everyone on this forum was... little did I know about the war going on over in the HD section, about BluRay and the 360 possibly getting an add-on. geez...

Target clears out games from time to time. I don't think it is a deciding factor on whether a game tanked or not. Just making room for different stock.

Well, the game went from 60 to 40 to 25, and it STILL didn't sell at many of the Targets in my area (Los Angeles). Maybe they over-ordered it, and I guess you can argue that the Target customers are not the right audience for the game, but I don't think that's a good sign.

Of course, they also had Warhawk and Lair at 40 for a while, and didn't sell out or anything.

Do you have to get them to scan the tag to get the lower price? Or is the new price on the tag already?

They're usually stickered with a red tag with the lowered price. Unlike someplace like Circuit City, Target repricing is on a store by store basis, and so price drops take place at different times, which is why you might see it on sale for 15 bucks at one store but it's still at 30 at another. It's worth scanning to make sure, though.

They had the red sticker on them and they were in the regular 360 glass case.

The game didn't sell well, but it is a good game. Definitely worth picking up at a discounted price. Many times good games don't find an audience and total crap flies off the shelves and unfortunately Folklore is the former.

I just wish with Folklore that you did not have to play as both characters. I might pick it up if my local Target has it for the lower price. Is the DLC for Folklore any good?

New update is available to download, version 2.17. Didn't take very long to download, so either my connection has gotten better or it's a small update.

Edit: Apparently it's just bug fixes and other behind the scenes stuff. Bummer.

Damn. Wish I'd realized about Folklore. Just checked around, apparently it was down to 12.98 at one point here, but none of the Austin area Targets have it anymore.

It figures the one game I actually like on the PS3 is the first to be clearanced out.

Good Luck finding Folklore at Target. I found some at mine, but they were still $24.98 (or $29.98)

I found a bunch at my local Target. They were tagged $59.99 but rang up $14.98. Great deal. Thanks for the heads-up.

Oh, and just FYI : I bought one copy and texted a friend for another. I know someone in the trade forum hoarded a bunch of copies and tried to sell them here for $35 each. In my opinion, that just sucks.

Decker you made me buy a copy of Folklore. :P I hate Target employees, though. They sound like they don't want to be there. I found 1 good guy in the electronics section of the 215 store. The electronics guy at the Tenaya store is a #*$(#)@. He personally walked to the main CSR to make sure I didn't get a price match on a clearanced item that went further down in price.

I'm heading over to Target first thing tomorrow in hopes of scoring a Wii. I'll definitely pick up Folklore if my Target has it in stock. Thanks for the heads-up!

I just got a 60GB PS3 yesterday at SAMs. It was a floor model and the last in the Puerto Rico SAMs stores. Since the controllers (and and the power cable) were missing, I got it for $300. Yesterday I purchased a power cable at CompUSA for $1 and today I got a Sixaxis controller for $53 and a USB cable (that too was missing) for $12. So after all that, I got a 60GB PS3 for $366. Not bad all things considered.

I purchased Uncharted today and tried it out with that and some PS1 and PS2 titles. I also tried some DVDs. It worked flawlessly. Now I just gotta get me some BDs.

No Folklore's at any of the Target's I went to...I saw a couple a few weeks ago when they were $41.98, but they're all gone now. I did score Jericho for $12.48 and Dead Head Fred for the PSP for $7.48, so it wasn't a completely wasted trip.
