Is MGS4 a T rated game?

I just don't see them trying to market and sell a $500(?) bundle only to people 17 and older. That's one way to artificially inflate MGS's numbers though.*

*I know it will be a hit, I just don't see it being the hit(system savior?) everyone else thinks it will be.

The first three MGS games were M rated.

There have been other M rated console bundles before though, the Halo edition Xboxes...

BTW, it that an actual screenshot of MGS4 in that kotaku link? When Konami first showed MGS4 off (I believe at E3 '05, almost 3 years ago) it was hot, but now it doesn't look too impressive. Compared to newer games, that screenshot looks like shit.

Does the Dualshock 3 also have the same motion sensing capability as the Sixaxis?? If so, then a couple of extra bucks isn't too bad.

Anyone concerned about the hard drive space thing?

I admit, I went to go buy Devil May Cry 4 yesterday, and went with the 360 version... one of the factors was the 5 gig download into the hard drive that apparently makes a slight difference in loading times. It's not that big of a deal, because most of us have room to spare (PSN not having much worth downloading is certainly a factor here), but I don't want this to be the trend.

Not really. I think the 360 having a ridiculously priced 120 GB as the only upgrade option from 20 GB is something to be much more concerned about.

Capcom needs to cut the forced installs out for games that shouldn't have it, like the golf game, though.

Can you delete the install file and keep the game saves? Also does changing the hard drive void the warranty?

As far as the warranty question goes, No, changing the HD does not void it. As far as the save/install thing goes : I don't know. I'd hate to fill up my HD with rental game install files. I don't really understand this and why some require the install files while others don't. It seemed like R&C Future was a HUGE install, but Uncharted loaded right up.

Ok, so far I can't get my PS3 to do anything. I have an external usb hd that has a fat32 partition, but the PS3 won't see it. I know the hd works because the 360 sees it just fine. I renamed the folders "music" and "pictures" after reading something about that, but still nothing.

So then I decide to change the theme. First I tried doing it through the PS3's own web browser and that worked just fine. I decided to try to download them all to an SD card on my laptop first since that was faster than the browser. I dl them and try to install but again the PS3 doesn't see the files. Far as I know they're in the correct format which is .p3t or something like that.

PS3 won't play any of the divx videos that the 360 plays without a hitch.

Without any games to play for right now or any movies I'm kinda bummed. I can't seem to get this thing to do anything.

Themes have to be in \PS3\THEME on your card. As for it not seeing your music and pictures the key is the triangle button. I suspect this will fix your divx video problem as well.

Ok, so that takes care of the theme issue. Music and pictures off the SD card work fine. The hard drive is the problem. When should I press triangle? It's not seeing the HD at all. For instance, my laptop is accessible (that's where I'm trying to play divx from) but when I hit X to play the video it says something like "file not supported" or some such. The HD on the other hand does not appear at all.

PS3 forum sure is lonely.

Fandango, thanks for trying to help me out. Yes the HD is a 60GB partitioned with about 20GB as fat32. Like I said, the 360 can see it which also requires the HD to be fat32.

Can you charge the PS3 controller using a computer? I only ask because every time I plug mine into my PC all 4 lights keep blinking. It's a pain in the ass to have to keep my PS3 on just to charge my controller.

Yes you can with any thing that has a USB. I have even used my wall charger for my blue tooth since it has a mini-usb on one end.
The latest trick, if you have a DVR, you can use the USB ports on there. I leave mine plugged in there now.

That means it is charging. They stop blinking when it is done. I charge mine on the PC, HD DVD player, Wii or anything else with a USB port.

For under $5 you can get a USB plug that works in any outlet. You just plug them into a wall outlet or extension cord. Go to Amazon and do a search for:

"iPod USB Travel Power Charger Adapter for Nano, Shuffle, 4G, Mini, Photo and U2"

Order from the seller Vortex Cable. I've gotten two from them in the past month. They're a little over $4.50 each and arrive in about 3-4 days.

I use one to power an Antec Notebook Cooler under my 360. And the other to charge my PS3/360 wireless headsets, PS3 controllers and the PS3 thumbpad.

Yep. Pretty much anything. I have mine plugged into the Tivo. Cable boxes, satellite boxes, even the Wii will charge it if you have WiConnect on.

I bought one of those Nyko(?) wall chargers for about $12 - it can charge two controllers at once.

I thought 1 light blinking means it charging not all four. I will try leaving it plugged in then. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Looks like I will be buying a PS3 in June, I figured they would come out with a new bundle with the Dual Shock 3 included. I'm only mildly interested in MGS4 after playing the first couple, but there is enough other games out (Uncharted, R&C, Resistance) that I think I'm ready to pick one up. Plus now that Blu Ray is the HD format, I might start picking up some HD movies.
