Just an FYI, I changed my PS3 ID to match my 360 ID. If you see a friend request from Supermallet, that's me. Also feel free to send a request my way as well.

Meanwhile, I'm debating whether or not to buy the physical copy of Warhawk or to download it. I get the benefit of no taxes and presumably faster loading with the download, but if my system dies is there a way for me to recover the game without paying for it again? Similarly, if I upgrade my HDD on the system, will I be able to copy the game over? How big of a file is it, anyway?

So other than games and Blu-ray, what other cool stuff do you people do with your PS3?

Make love to it. Or pee in its butt...if it had one.

The picture looks just fine, I am talking about when I turn the Ps3 on, and put in a game first the screen looks grey instead of black its really weird to explain.

I picked up Warhawk this weekend as well. The Target deal was too good to pass up and the bluetooth headset works with my cell phone so that was a bonus. The game looks great and seems to play well. I do with you could play against some bots to get a hang of things though. It took me a while to find out you could change the aircraft from flyer to a glider. Feel free to ad me to your friends lists. I am on the West Coast so I will probably only be on later at night.

The game is brilliant.

My only complaint is in the filtering system for finding games. I try to filter for my rank, but there is just no way the guys owning me are my rank or lower. Granted, I didn't grow up on twitchy FPSs, but I'm not THAT bad at games.

Bots would be absurdly hard to program given the number of options you have in the game. I can't imagine the scripts it would take to make them choose what to do, what to drive...etc.

I'm thinking about starting a DVD Talk Clan thread...already created the clan...just not sure how to make it work as a practical matter.

On Warhawk? Negligible...hardly worth mentioning.

Motorstorm on the other hand...ugh. Great game though.

Is it hooked up with HDMI? Play around with the settings. I think there is one setting that has something to do with "Full" and "Limited." When it's on "Limited" for me, I get that nasty grey you're talking about.

Just wanted to verify here. Can you not use the controller while it is charging?

Thanks I will check that out.

I have always used the controller while its charging, you should have no problem with that.

So I finally caved, a second time, and picked up another PS3. When I first got the system I wasn't happy with the game selection and I was unsure about Blu-Ray. Now I feel far more confident with both things.

I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what games to get so I am in the process of downloading all the demos I can. I'm bummed the download speeds for the system still suck but I guess I can wait. I am curious if many people here still play Eye Of Judgment online now and then. I am very tempted to get the game but I will pass if it seems like everyone has moved on to other games.

I went to buy Warhawk from my local Gamestop today and they said that not only did they not have any more, but it's listed as discontinued in their system. I actually already have the Bluetooth headset, so I just need the disc, but at this point I guess I'll try and pick up the bundle from Target.

Can't say I've played it but EOJ had a lot of good hype early on but seemed to die quickly after release. The rampant piracy of the collectable card decks seemed like a bummer too.

I finally got to play Ratchet and Clank this weekend....I played the demo before and I was just...eh...another platformer, but I got the full game and it is amazing...

It was a game where I kept so, just one more level....just one more level.

I haven't played online at all yet, as I haven't the time to cheat to keep up with others that I know do so. That said, I'd still pick it up when it's on sale next, I got the game w/ camera for $44 back in Jan from Amazon.com and it was well worth it just for the camera. Hopefully they actually put that thing to use eventually (the current downloadable games for it are lame). That said, for $44, I think it's a good combo deal.

Uncharted is a very involving game that I'd at least recommend for a rental. I play my games slowly so I almost have to purchase them to finish em up. Uncharted isn't the longest game, but it's got a cool atmosphere and is fun once you get the hang of the less than perfect gunplay (it isn't bad, just touchy.)

I wish there was a Warhawk demo. I'm interested, but I don't play CoD4 enough so I'm not sure if I need another online game.

I'm starting to think my PSN problems have to be related to my wireless network. It just can't be this bad. I turn on the PS3 and start playing Uncharted. Almost immediately I get a message about an error with PSN and I'm being logged out. Playing GT5 I can't even upload or check rankings consistently. Is it my network or is it always this bad?

I was getting terribly slow downloads when I got my PS3 a few weeks ago. I also noticed regular internet was going a little slow, and I updated my routers firmware and everything speeded up to normal.

Figured that the cheaters in EoJ would of screwed up the whole idea. I still want the camera so I am going to keep an eye out for a deal and at the very least I will play offline.

Uncharted was the only game I picked up when I got my system. I didn't open it right away because I knew that there was a demo for it online. I want to check it out before cracking it open. Best Buy had Folklore for 29.99 when I was there yesterday morning and while not a complex game it seems like something I could get into.

Do you happen to know if this was a store-specific clearance or something chain-wide? I saw it was $39.99 last week, but thought it was back to regular price this week.

It seems it is still full price on BestBuy.com. I'm not sure if I want to bother driving all the way back to the store I visited yesterday. I'd rather go to the closer ones but with something that appears to be YMMV I would spend almost as much in gas tracking the damn thing down.
