Grouped by month makes sense to me, especially since I'm sure a lot of the interest in is upcoming releases or the most recent set. I'm sure you'll start to see less interest in January once February hits.

I was playing medium - not sure how they can mix the levels though - because one side would get way more notes to hit than the other. Strange.

Basically, you need to go into overdrive when the other guy loses his multiplier to rack up the "points" and sway the green bar your way. I was able to get it so far to my side that even when the other guy had 8x and I lost my multiplier, the bar never moved.

I'd do alphabetical spoiler by band name. 3 months from now people won't remember when something was released. They will remember, hey there was a Coheed song I wanted way back when. Easiest way to find it is alphabetical.

Maybe keep the current ones outside of spoilers and do something like A-G in one spoiler, H-N in another and O-Z in another.

Something like this:

Current DLC
Coheed and Cambria - Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial): Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Rush - Working Man: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Smashing Pumpkins - Siva: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band

DLC: A-G
Spoiler:

Black Sabbath - Paranoid: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
David Bowie - Heroes: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band

DLC: H-N
Spoiler:

Iron Maiden - Wrathchild*: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Metallica - Fuel: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
the Monkees - Last Train to Clarksville: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band

DLC: O-Z
Spoiler:

Rush - Limelight*: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band
Sweet - Action*: Guitar Bass Drums Vox Band

Announced DLC
Spoiler:

Black Sabbath - Paranoid: (3/25/08)
Metallica - Fuel: (3/25/08)
the Police - Message in a Bottle (4/3/08)

True enough. I mean, I'll remember when something was released, but that's because I'm obsessive and have all my mp3s sorted by week. :) I think I'll go ahead and put them in alpha order for you guys, as well as a section for packs, as not everyone would know what's in a pack offhand, especially with some bands (The Police, Sabbath) getting a pack and then individuals.

If I'm feeling frisky, I might throw in some color as well!

I'll start working on that as soon as I finish getting my personal stuff set up. Already snagged the mp3s of all the new DLC and getting the lyrics into files as well. Since I do mainly vox, it's best to listen to the song while reading the lyrics a couple times until I get it down, especially for the Thrash stuff.

I think this is what you meant, but I think it would be good to list all the tracks, and then separately the packs. So like in the song list you'd have:

The Police - Can't Stand Losing You
The Police - Roxanne
The Police - Synchroncity II

and then under packs:

The Police Pack (Can't Stand Losing You, Roxanne, Synchroncity II)

or something like that.

That's exactly what I meant. Look for that later today or tomorrow.

I will buy all the March DLC except for the Metallica song.

I wish they'd branch out with the bands a bit more... I want to see some A7X!

Agreed, granted it's pre-City of Evil.

"The calendar of Rock Band DLC for March 2007 printed in the latest

tuned for confirmation of Rock Band DLC closer to their release."

To give you a bit of additional insight: our DLC schedule is tentative for a number of reasons. As we've noted before on the forums, there are a lot of moving parts to get into place before we're ready to mix, author, animate and submit songs to be certified. Each stage in the process can have its kinks that can delay tracks from week to week for a myriad of reasons.

With all of these factors in play, we try to wait until we're absolutely sure that a track is good to go before we spread the good word amongst the forums. While the schedule released by OXM includes a variety of tracks that are currently being worked on by our development team, we need to remind everyone that our internal list can and will change (daily even) until the songs are certed and approved by Sony and Microsoft. Unless you hear it here from a member of the HMX community team (myself, Sean, HMXJohnD), assume that things are unconfirmed rumors.

We're committed to putting out really well done tracks that everyone can enjoy. Keep an eye on the forums for updates and we'll let you know what tracks are coming out as soon as it's possible. We'll be sticking to a weekly update in the coming month, so check back on Monday![/b]
So the dates on the March stuff that leaked today may change, but all of it is legit being worked on, which is awesome!

There was also a rumor today about a Red Hot Chili Peppers back for 2/19 today, complete with a pic off the XBL Marketplace with an ad for it, but it was shot down on the RB forums by HMXJohnLok.

My song that I want as DLC:

Lump - Presidents of the United States

PerryD 01-31-08 07:34 PM

Since we are wishing, I'd like them to port the existing Guitar Hero 1 & 2 songs over, obviously adding drums and vocals.

Rock Band, coming to the Wii

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/31/ea...coming-to-wii/

According to IGN, EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed the "coming launch" of Rock Band for Wii in a rather roundabout way. The confirmation came during a conference call to discuss EA's quarterly earnings when Riccitiello referred to the "coming launch" of the Wii version. Just in case that wasn't clear enough, IGN did get confirmation from EA that, indeed, the rock star simulator would be making a Wii debut. There was no release date given for the launch -- or information on instruments, price, or DLC – but hey, at least now we finally know it's coming.

Hate to nitpick the DLC post, but it's spelled Lynyrd Skynyrd

I need advice on a drum pedal repair.

I do not own this game, but need to repair or replace the pedal I broke that belongs to my friend

From what I've read, in this thread and elsewhere, is that they will replace the pedal for free...but only within sixty days of purchase. Two problems with that: my buddy's girlfriend bought the thing and no longer has the receipt, and even if she did, it would have been over 60 days ago. Is there any way to get the pedal replaced?

I've found some kits on ebay to repair the pedal. Should I go that route? I have no problem paying $20-30 to get this thing going again.

I NEVER thought I would be addicted to a game like this. The drums are incredible. And I can't play them while it's broken!! :o

porieux 02-01-08 12:10 AM

Well one option is to check my post on the previous page, there is a link to a solution for modding a real pedal for use in RB.

On the other hand, you don't need a receipt for the warranty (at least I didnt for the Strat) and I'm pretty sure they aren't enforcing the 60 limit right now either due to so many problems with the instruments. Go for it:

naitram 02-01-08 02:30 AM

I would buy none of those songs for the March list, so hoping it gets changed. :)

Do we even have a list for February yet?
