Now you can buy the drums and the mic by themselves. You can also buy the game by itself.

They have not released the guitar by itself yet (although iirc you can use the guitar from GHII and GHIII on RB on the 360 version).
why would you buy the drums and mic by themselves? is that if you just don't want the guitar?

so if I have a ps3 and want a guitar game and don't want all the drums/mic, i have to get guitar hero?

We have them here at work.. they are ok.. i don't want to spend an extra $60 for them (difference in price between guitar hero and rock band) and don't really want to give up the space in my living room

You could buy the game itself since launch (or near). Any USB Mic will work. GH guitars work (on the 360).

No, the PS3 GH3 guitar doesn't work on PS3 RB.

what i meant is.. i want to buy a game and a guitar.. that's it... so rock band is not an option at this time... right?

Correct. That arrangement is not available at this time.

I see. What I was describing was people that already owned GH and didn't want the full RB pack - they would have bought just the disc in the past. Now they can upgrade their experience by getting just the drums and/or a mic. It seemed your question was open to that possibility as an answer.

Harmonix is saving me some money next week. You couldn't pay me to download the Dead.

Hopefully this means we're getting closer to getting all of Who's Next, though.

WAY too many GD songs that can sneak into a computer selected setlist. Not here.

I was looking forward to the Thrash pack but I think these songs will add a facet to the game that isn't represented now, so that's cool. I think they will be fun.

After the Bang Camaro concert last night, my friends and I partied with the band. Fun times.

Still doesn't make "Pleasure (Pleasure)" any less cheesy

Thinking of buying this game today for the PS3. Where can I see a list of all the downloadable songs?

Still don't get the hatred for it. I think it's easily the best guitar among any of the released games.

- Made of cheap plastic, doesn't feel sturdy at all.
- wired
- failure rate is probably somewhere about the level of RROD

Then personal reasons:
- Not a fan of the recessed buttons (easier to lose where you are)
- select button in an awkward spot for someone that doesn't do the motion
- missing the click... you heard me right, I like the click of the strum on the LP, it helps me keep up with what's going on on screen.

100% agreed. I hate the Fender.

Nearly every one of these I consider a benefit. It's less bulky, I don't mind that it's wired, mine hasn't failed, I love the recessed buttons, select button is easier for me, and I hate the click.

I don't understand the question. Which one is more accurate? rockband.com is obviously going to have everything that's released, and since wikipedia is updated by the public, there is a great chance that someone will put up a pipedream song or artist to troll the community.

If you don't feel like checking rockband.com for info, I'd recommend post #2 of this thread. I put a lot of work into it and it has tons of information and links to videos.

It wasn't a question, it was a response to the question directly above it. And I didn't think of your post as a source for info. That is obviously much better than the 2 options I provided. Nothin' but love, Shag...

No prob, man. I guess I totally skipped over the other post, as you didn't quote.
