Okay one last question...
I finally beat everything last night! Got 82/80 cars and all events + smashes, boards, jumps, etc, all complete. Yet Im at 98% done.... why? THey gave me the gold color scheme. What on earth could I be missing?

My guess is you don't have all the Paradise Awards. If you have all the other stuff like you said, these are the only things that would be keeping you from 100%. From the the Stats screen, you have to click Square (I think) to see the Paradise Awards.
Some are tricky. If you're not a fan of the stunt runs, the "40X Multiplier" one might upset you a little bit.

Well that explains that than. Thanks for all the tips though! They really helped. If I recall I have 9 more paradise awards to get as per the last thing that flashed when I earned my elite. I think I get platinum cars with the 100% so thats nothing to me. And after taking 70 hours to beat the game.... Im sick of it!

I started at the Falling Down stunt run went up and down the tracks those cliffs end at and finished at the Quarry. Hitting any jumps I could find on the way. I also hit a double barrel roll when I entered the Quarry as the icing on the cake.

I didn't quite spend 3 hours on it... but I was ready to throw the controller through the TV after I failed twice at 39X. The South Bay Expressway up to the quarry and back down to the 3 jumps on the expressway did it for me.

I finally got off my butt (aka, put down LBP) and got the last trophy for 100%... I had to delete my game AGAIN, 'cuz for some reason, it wouldn't give me the 10 timed challenges trophy...
Anyway... thanks to all that helped me in my quest for a 100% title... it will probably be the only one...

Pssst. If you guys were thinking about running out to Target to snag a copy of Burnout for $20 tomorrow, you'd probably like to know that Amazon has matched that price. Tack on something around $5 for free shipping (or wait until the big deals hit tomorrow morning).

Just out of curiosity, how does this game handle ramping up the difficulty of goals? I mean, from what I've read you just drive around and do races, but does it let you know if it's going to be easy or hard? Is there a way to do easier stuff first, or is it random? In games like GTA, you have some freedom to choose what mission to do next. However, there is still some control over difficulty because sections of the map are blocked off and you have to do a series of missions for someone in a certain order, but it sounds as if this game just has everything open.
BTW, how does it compare to Burnout 3? That was the only one I played, but I wasn't too crazy about it.

I need to get back into this game as well.. I loved getting some friends in and just crashing into each other making goofy faces into the camera as it snaps a picture. Or completing challenges.
Good times....

For the ones playing in the Xbox 360, have you installed the game to hard drive? and have you seen any improvement with that?
I hadn't played in a long time and thought about installing to hard drive, but I just had a little time to play, and I didn't want to wait 15 minutes and then see no improvements.

haven't installed it, but the only load times are at the very beginning. Aside from that, the game is pretty smooth.
Raul, sending you a friend request since I've been playing this a lot lately. Just got my Elite license and need to do online challenges.
