Ahhh cool!
One more thing. I play in 3rd person view and I hate the music sounding muffled! In cockpit view it sounds great, is there a way to adjust it to sound like that in 3rd person view?

Ok, I got 100% on the trophies last night. It took a grand total of 19 hours to get all of them including the Cagney and Bike trophies. In case anyone decides to try it I think I came up with a decent strategy for saving time.
On your second play through save all the Burning Routes until you get the A license. Those are the easiest races in the game with no other cars slamming you while racing. I had the hardest time going from B to A because the cars you have at that time are really crap. I got so used to driving the Hawker all the time I had a tough time driving the earlier stuff. Once I got to A though I hit the different Burning Routes and a few Marked Man and Road Rages in the van and a couple of the easier straight shot races and stunt runs and I had my Burnout License in no time.
Also, try to play your online trophies for one long session you host. You will have some easy ones like a regular Freeburn Challenge, but you all have to get 10 fairly tough timed challenges to get the Cagney Gold. There is also a tough one that requires you to get all 8 cars into Wildcat Stadium and if you have a couple of jokers playing you may have a hard time. If needed kick people till you get guys willing to help you out.
You also need a friend on your PSN list playing to send a play request and of course a USB camera to send one mugshot.
The Bikes are probably the easiest overall. The only tough one is you have to finish all the burning routes, but again this is much easier since it is just you against the road and they give you plenty of time.
A very easy 100% and probably the only Platinum I get since I rarely finish games.

And did you just completely start over. Or did you copy your save game out, do a new one for the trophies and then copy back in?

Way to go! So in that 19 hours you also did all the billboards and smashthrus and road rules. It's the road rules that took so long for me until I started doing them online like you suggested a while back.

For instance you don't need to get many of the Road Rules with the cars or bikes and you only need the Burnout License to Platinum and not the much harder Elite license. For the bikes you only need to beat the burning routes and one each day and night road rule. This really doesn't take that long. If we would have been required to get all the road rules again or the Elite license I probably wouldn't have even bothered with the trophies. The hardest part was actually getting all the online stuff done since you are required to get help on the 10 timed challenges and get 8 people that will go to Wildcat Stadium.
I also printed out a list of all the required trophies so I could plan out doing many of them in bunches and could check them off as I went. Once I completed the trophies I restored my original save so I have the 100% for trophies and my previous 101% for bikes and cars.
Burnout is going back on the shelf for awhile, but I will definitely be back for the Island.

I was wondering about the Island update. I thought it would have been out already. I have all the lateast updates (loving those bikes!)
On the map, where are the "under construction" road signs where the new island will be added?

Drive along the northeastern side of the city past the docks and you'll see it on your left (driving south) or right (driving north). It's all fenced off so look for that - if I find the exact intersection I'll post it. You'll also see a mall coming soon sign.

Cheers, I'll check it when I get back home from work.

Wow good idea Darkside. I'll do the same with mine. I was real close to using another PS ID to complete all this, but that wouldn't fix the main problem. I imagine XBL users can't do this?

No need to do this on XBL as achievements were there since day 1 and nothing new has been added for achievements.

The XBL Achievements were trigered by the original in game awards. The PS3 Trophies are separate because the game came out before trophies were around. It is strange that Criterion made many of the trophies different from the in game awards, but they probably had to once they learned they couldn't make them retroactive.

Oh I see. Wow. I'll have to research if most new games coming out will also support this trophy system. I kind of like it though. Just something else to think about other than just playing the game to beat it. I just wish/hope more games are like Burnout where you can play your own music while you play the game.

I saw in a FAQ about the prodcut sponsor cars and it says this:
How to unlock: Under sponsor product code in the pause menu, enter "Gamestop".
You must have an A class license or better to use this car.
Ive entered it multiple times even with the quote marks and nothing. What the hell is up with the code not working?

Have you entered them all lowercase... or all uppercase as well?
There are a number of codes (like I mention above the bestbuy, walmart, and others) so tries those as well. For me, I didn't try and unlock them until I had my burnout license and had no problems whatsoever. I also assume you've checked your junkyard to make sure it's not already there inadvertently.

I have another question, how the hell do I do Burning Rides? I go to those intersections and theres events there, I dont see how to start them.

I need to get this trophy:
* Invite a friend to join you in Paradise City - Awarded for sending an online game invite to another player

You need someone on your friends list playing Burnout at the same time as you. Start an online game you create and send them an invite. That unlocks the trophy.

As an alternative. Go online and join someones game. Send them a friend request. If they accept it you can then add them to your friends. Start your own online game and send them a request. You only have to send the request to get the trophy. They don't have to accept it. You just need someone on your list playing at the same time as you.
