MGS4 added.
I haven't played MGS4, and I fought myself to not buy it, but I'm surprised that he bashed it so much. I was expecting a high review for this one, and I must say I'm pleased to see the bashing. Hopefully Ninja2 is next week.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete, a gaming-oriented webcomic. They did a miscarriage story arc recently. It's fairly popular, but like Penny Arcade it's also pretty divisive.

CAD and PA and pretty much in the same category for me. There's the occasional stand alone strip mocking one game or another that's pretty good, but the non-gaming strips & story arc stuff (especially when they get serious) I could care less about.

I've never been a fan of Ctrl-Alt-Del either (i had also never seen it referred to as CAD). Penny Arcade on the other hand i am a total sucker for. I have bought all the books, read the comics, and even enjoyed the game.

I think the Penny Arcade guys themselves are pretty great ambassadors for "gamers". They do a lot of cool stuff, especially the charity they started. So they get a pass in my book. But I almost never find their strip funny.
I don't know what the deal is with the CAD stuff, but it seems like it might be the creator reacting to something in his or her personal life? Just reading a few of the strips, it seems pretty decent (and yes I did like Luann, problem?, so it might be up my alley). I think I might give it a try.

I'm a fan of CAD and I actually appreciated the pregnancy turn and was surprised by the miscarriage twist (great single strip, btw). I hope they don't end it there. I like my entertainment with meaning sometimes.
I did assume it was from personal experience. Hey, when Ethan had that tiny 360 controller, how could it not warm your heart? And subsequently when he put it away after the incident... There can be more than jokes in these 4 panels.

yeah, i managed to beat Alone in the Dark but it was pretty poor in some areas. It's not the worst game out there, but the terrible story doesn't even make the poor gameplay worthwhile.
