I really want to try and get into this series (never played the first one in full) and I DL the demo and wasn't at all impressed.

Call of Duty 4 is just so much better to me right now - I'm not bashing it at all. I just don't want to pick up the vegas 2 without playing through the first.

I dug the "hugging a wall" thing and I love the challenge but the graphics are pretty underwhleming and It's just really hard to leave COD4 at the moment.

Should I give it another chance and buy it or is it just a matter of preference?

Give it another chance. It's such a great game. I enjoyed it more than COD4 basically because of being able to control your unit and all the options you had.

Funny cuz for me you can just reverse that.I bought CoD4 and i just cant get into it.I prefer a tactical shooter so to me CoD4 is not much different than something like Unreal Tournament so its just sitting on my shelf although one day when im bored i'll probably play thru CoD4's single player.

Cant wait for R6-V2

I totally agree with Astrochimp... I like COD4, but R6:V makes you think before you act and, to me, it was just as tense. Plus, online was just more fun and the fact that you had to play as a team to win made the experience more enjoyable.

So in online coop mode for single player you can talk to your live team mate can't you? Thru voice chat in game as you play it?

I'm with you. I did not like RS: Vegas at all but absolutely love CoD4. I'm going to stick with it and Halo 3.

It is funny to see the two camps here.

I was playing R6:V until I got COD4, and found myself trying to "pop-out" and clear the enemies as they would continually respawn until I moved forward.

I found myself more of a R6 fan, plus the Veteran mile high made me never want to play again.

I'm split between the two. I thought the campaign in CoD4 was better but I enjoy the on-line of Vegas by far. It's hard to play a FPS without a cover system once you get used to it.

I guess there's a moratorium on reviews. IGN said they'd put theirs up at 12:01 on 3/18. I don't know if that's a concerning sign or not. My biggest concern, that this game is just a full priced, stand-alone expansion, has not been alleviated yet.

That's weird. You'd think Ubisoft would be eager for any and all positive buzz for for this game -- especially glowing reviews. Did Ubisoft do the same thing with Assassin's Creed? I can't recall.

COD4 and RS6 Vegas are both great games and both have flaws.

My second child is due to be born Monday... so hopefully I'll be home Tuesday night playing late after he's sleeping (wishful thinking).

Sometimes you just gotta sort out your priorities. Just tell your wife you got a cold and you can't make it to the hospital or you'll infect the other babies.

Congrats btw.

Gameinformer gave it a 9.25 and the second opinion was a 9.5. The chief complaint was the sequel didn't have much in terms of new stuff....I'm okay with that as long as they didn't muck up what worked well in the first place.

I remember I was pumped up for the first Vegas game, and now I just can't get interested in it for some reason.

It doesn't help that there's been almost no promotion/previews for this game.

My current copies of OXM and OPM with the full R6V2 front cover ads both say hello.

I agree lordwow... they should have released a demo on the marketplace. That said, I'll still pick it up Tuesday.

I know this has likely been mentioned before but Best Buy has a unique downloadable assault rifle supposedly included in their copies.

A lot of high-profile games (and movies) have embargo dates for reviews. Doesn't always mean anything negative.
