360, for pretty much every reason mentioned here. I'll even wait a bit if I know the 360 version will come later (Haze, hopefully MGS4, i think even UT3).

This is about as lopsided a survey as I've seen.

Guess you missed the one where I asked if Martini was a douche. That poor no column didn't get a click all week

I'm skeptical that everyone that responded owns both consoles...

Why? I haven't seen anyone post a compelling reason to choose a PS3 version over a 360 version...

Most everyone here is in their mid-20s on up. People with disposable income. People that won't settle for playing 1/3rd or 2/3rds of the greatest games this gen.

XBOX for regular games, except in the case of unreal tourny 4. PS3 has mouse and keyboard right?

PS3 for dual platform downloadable games. PS3 just handles multiple consoles better than 360. Yes, I have 2 360s and 2 PS3s With a 360 you have to recover and download your live account everytime you want to play a downloaded game. Or you have to carry a memory card with your live account on it.

My reasons may not be compelling to other people but they're true for me. Only time I select the 360 version is if I plan on playing on-line (like CoD4). Otherwise I get it on PS3 for the reasons I mentioned on page 1. I will be picking up Assassin's Creed on PS3.

I don't own a PS3, but this survey points out the fact of why I don't. I can't think of a single title I'd rather own on the PS3 than the 360, and the PS3-exclusives right now aren't anything I'm dying to play.

Right now I'd probably stick to 360 versions.. but that could change once developers start getting the hang of 1080p/60FPS on the PS3 as opposed to the 720p/30FPS on the Xbox 360. I'm not gaga over achievements (<- that's a lie) and I'm only minimally interested in multi-player. The controller is a road block though, I was going back and forth last night downloading some demos and doing the PS3's system update.. the rumors are true, the dated dual shock design is doodoo.

I still stand by my comments about getting the 360 version when it is a cross platform game, even if there is no multiplayer. The ability to get achivements, see your friends list and what they are playing and the ease to join them if you want. The PS3 has such a lackluster online presence. It is hard to see what your friends are doing, communicate with them in any meaningful way if you or they are in a game. On the 360, if we are both in a game you can bring up the mini-blade and send them a text or voice message with such ease.

PS3 only games will most likely get a purchase from me. I own Resistance. I was set to purchase the newest Ratchet & Clank but lucked out getting copy to review. I had planned on purchasing my system just to play Lair until I read it got pretty bad reviews. I still bought the system, but I don't have many games. I wanted to get it before they removed the ability to play PS2 games as I still had a bunch of those sitting around.

And to answer your original criticism, I own the following:

- 360
- Wii
- PS3
- PSP
- DS

So, I think I am accurately describing my preference with no bias at all or being a fanboy of only one system.

Online is the primary reason I choose the 360 so I can play with my friends (most of them have 360). Achievements are a bonus too.
