I scored a Wii this morning from TRU, thanks very much for the ad scan.
I got there about 5 minutes after they opened and there was a line of about 15 people, I thought I was out of luck. I turned around to leave and a nice CSR came and said that if I was there for a Wii they had more than enough to cover the line. I think she said they had about 42 in stock. Took about 25 minutes to get through the line and checkout, very smooth process.
Now I'm just figuring out how much this whole damn thing costs. 280 for the console, 50 for WiiPlay (for the extra controller), 40 for 2 nunchucks, 35 for a charge station... and that's not even counting any game purchases. I think I underestimated the cost of this thing, but I'm glad I finally got one.

After weeks of playing I finally finished Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and have to give it a very high recommendation. Took me 50 hours of game time and probably 60 hours real time counting maps I had to redo, but it was time well spent. Very good storyline and once again Fire Emblem proves to be my favorite among the tactical RPG genre.
I've been replaying Final Fantasy Tactics recently and I'm finding it almost unplayable now. Fire Emblem is just that much better.
The only downside to Radiant Dawn is that it is a direct sequel to the GameCube Fire Emblem (unlike the GBA Fire Emblems that were independent stories) and wraps up the storyline started there. You can play it without playing the first one, but you lose a lot in the story not to mention the thrill of getting reunited halfway through with your characters from the first game.
I found the game well worth $50 and challenging Mario Galaxy for my favorite Wii game, but obviously this is an extremely niche genre so your mileage will vary. If you like Japanese style tactical RPGs they really don't get better than this one.

Not quite. I'm a sucker for warranties, and about 29.95 for an additional two year warranty. Or something. Cashiers dangle warranties in front of me and I'm pretty sure they automatically see a "SUCKER" hologram labeled on my forehead. But it's worth it to me for the piece of mind.

Well, I tried to pick up a WII yesterday at TRU, but had no luck. I was up and doing nothing, so I got there about 20-25 minutes before they opened. I was about 34th in line. The manager came out right before they opened to let everyone know that they only had 21. They could have at least told everyone before then so the extra 30 people wouldn't have had to stand out in the 18 degree weather.

Whoops. Not sure what I was thinking on that one.

I went Sunday to pick up the Cobalt Blue DS at TRU and there were people waiting in line since 11pm the night before! I was about 50th in line and there were 78 total Wiis at the TRU. I couldn't stop laughing at the people that waited in 3 degree weather all night for the Wii while I strolled in at 9:45am and I could've bought one. It was enjoyable to see so many kids and parents happy to get one. The vibe there was really good and the manager ran the thing very smoothly and efficiently. I'm not surprised though considering it's a year and a half later and he's doing this every Sunday.
