It's actually kinda cool because you don't notice them unless you look at them so they don't come across as blatant pimping...even if they are.
A month or two ago Madden 08 had some of their in game stadium ads changed to the Simpsons game. I thought it was pretty cool at the time.

I also have a problem with some games. Supposedly Dramamine or eating ginger will help. I recently purchased a bag of candied ginger which I'll have to remember to snack on when I'm playing a first person game.

Yeah, I had the same problem with COD, only in campaign. The first chapter were specially hard. I'm in the middle of the game and I think I don't have motion sickness anymore. I can play for 2 hours with no problem. Of course when I finish I feel a little bit dizzy but that's ok.
But at the beginning of the game, just the first 5 minutes and I just couldn't play anymore. I had to stop and move away.

I got to play some co-op Gears of War last night.. wow, the forced testosterone in this game is so bad to the point of parody. All the guys have necks twice the size of their heads and they all talk with such fake gravel it's laughable. Oh well, gameplay wise it's alright.. not something I'd really consider since it's basically nothing but hiding behind shit.. though I tried to fight against that when I got the shotgun and bum-rushed everything I could. The first berserker fight was pretty fun too. I can see myself playing through the campaign with my friend but that's probably all I could take of it.

Bomberman LIVE is one.

But you both need Gamertags.

i just realized that you can't do this, or correct me if i'm wrong...

To connect the X360 via component and have the audio go through HDMI.... I have done that with the PS3.

As to why i want to use component over HDMI? Well, with HDMI, the X360 is kept showing 720, but with Component, it's showing 1080.... I know the games are running the same (at least for Gears, i played via component and HDMI). Now, i do want the 1080 setting if i'm watching hd-dvd via the add-on... So, question is, the 720 display is a "lie" (i.e. when running hd-dvds, it's really 1080?)

I'm sure most are aware, but Gamefly is having an end of year sale on their used games along with free shipping.

Anyway, just noticed the Darkness is listed for a mere $12.99. So those that missed out should jump on it, as it is a great game. Shadowrun is the same price, but I can't vouch for the quality of that one.

Agreed. $12.99 for The Darkness is a huge steal.

Especially since it trades in for $32 at Gamerush/Blockbuster

What do you guys think of getting Spiderman 3 for 9.99? Is that worth it?

I've got SM3 out from GamezNFlix right now, and I wouldn't say it's worth it. It's alright, but the controls are kind of wonky. There are times where you don't know what direction you're facing and the camera gets all crazy. Also, some of the missions are rather frustrating, again mainly because of camera issues. I'd skip it. Put it in your queue over at GameFly or whatnot as I don't think it warrants a purchase. It's probably not something you're going to go through more than once.

I really enjoyed Shadowrun and am glad i kept my copy. IT doesn't get a huge amount of play but i like the fact that i can play with bots. So i kind of get a multiplayer experiences offline.

What's the word on the 360 version of the original Rayman Raving Rabbids? If you don't own a Wii would it still be an enjoyable multiplayer game with children?

I agree, I thought Spiderman 3 was terrible. I liked the second game, just swinging around the city was fun. That part is still there, but the missions are nothing but tedious and frustrating due to the bad controls, combined with the quick time events that mean you often have to replay sections if you aren't quick enough on the button presses.

Just spent an hour or two playing around with the X360 hook up to the new Onkyo receiver... Sorry gamers, the X360 hardware-wise is a piece of crap! Here's what i find out...

1. Use of HDMI, max resolution is 720p, so if you're using the add-on, you're pretty much screwed if your TV supports 1080...

2. Use of Component, max resolution is up to 1080p, nice for add-on, but the sound is no longer digital, yeap, it's analog! Sucks big time...

3. You can't use Component for video and HDMI for audio (you can do this with the PS3). So you don't have the option to maximize your connection, sad sad sad... Not only that, the X360 doesn't have another digital audio output to get around this problem, sigh, this is so freaking annoying.

So, what did i do? Luckily the Onkyo receiver has a pretty good way "displaying" the sound through Stereo mode. However, not as good as if the X360 was connected via HDMI. Gear of War was totally an awesome experience in HDMI mode, the sound is so awesome that i really feel like i was in the battlefield! Every panting, cursing, grunts were so freaking realistic from the 5.1 surround speakers that i was totally absorbed into the game. Of course that all changes when i pop in Planet Earth hd-dvd into the add-on... the PQ was okay, but the display via 720p resulted in big ass black bars on my TV, sucks big time...

Bottom line? The X360's sound via component is the same as that of the Wii, yeap.... This is another reason why i kept saying the PS3 is a far more superior piece of hardware.

Huh? When using component for video, you can use optical for audio, no?

WTH does having black bars have anything to do with the resolution?

And sound via component? Are you sure you have any equipment at all?

Errr, not much, personally i can't tell much difference 720 and 1080 when sitting on my couch. But why would i want to watch the hd-dvd through a "smaller" screen? The component connection gives me full 56" while HDMI gives me about 42-46-ish inches of viewing area).

i don't understand your question... the sound is connected to the Onyko receiver. What i'm saying is that HDMI sound is better that the Component sound. But since i was kinda "forced" to use Component cable, i'm giving up the digital sound via HDMI. Yes, i'm choosing picture over sound, which i shouldn't have to choose!

MC and your big X360 ego... Dude, either accept the truth or offer me a workaround. It's not a damn yawn! I got the equipments and i'm not getting the best of them, it's frustrating!

The component cable has an optical audio connection on it (although I'm not currently using it).
