I think it's Microsoft's proprietary stuff. Isn't the SFIV stick 10 bucks more expensive for the 360 because of that?

I'm up to 1755 in Battle Points and was pretty proud of myself until I noticed on the leaderboard that #1 has like 51,000. Damn it I managed to win 18 in a row at one point and finally got that 10 win a row achievement.

Yeah. The top of the leaderboards on this game are especially wonky. I don't even understand how those scores are possible. I wish there was a feature, like on Skate, where people could capture and share video. I'm not, and will never be, a high level player, but I do enjoy watching some of the high level play. Youtube has a bit, but it would be nice if that was built into the game.

I'm still at 69 BP . I moved to player matches almost immediately because I couldn't stand the ranked system especially with how long it took to find a match.

I just picked this up for PS3 over the weekend. So, far I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm still shaking the rust off. I haven't had a Street Fighter game since Super Street Fighter II for the SNES. Online play has been fun so far. And, Seth is a real bitch.

Found a standard editoin fight stick, not sure if I should keep it though, based on the quality control issues

Although I did beat the hell out of my anniversary edition stick, so I need something new.

I finally played this on my buddies 360. He said I better be good, and I whooped his ass. It was awesome. We had some sweet close calls where he beat me too. It was a blast. Very fun game.

I wasn't going to get one of these, but now I think I might eventually. I'm one of those guys that never ever use the weak jabs and kicks when fighting. Little did I know that those moves have great priority, and when used greatly expand your arsenal. With that in mind, the 360 controller kind of sucks. It's fine if you just use fierce and medium hits, but when you try to use all three things get a little dicey. Trigger and shoulder buttons are not your friends in a fighting game.

I just borrowed the game from my cousin and first impressions are not good - the game feels a little clunky and am disappointed with the ultracombos being so telegraphed.

Awesome!! I haven't had a chance to play lately but this will probably rope me right back in.

Ultra's are telegraphed, but once you get deeper it makes being able to pull off an ultra on the tail end of the combo oh so sweet.

And free to boot! Badass.

Plus if they weren't so telegraphed, the moves would be really cheap. So the combo's are rewards to players who can execute them, not easy ways for a losing opponent to be able to win a match in a pinch.

I didn't like it at first either, but it really makes sense. Especially when you consider the damage these things do.

Regarding the tournament -- I am pumped for those. I was hoping something like this would come down the pipe sooner or later. It will also be cool to look at top player videos. The only thing I wish you could do would be to set up your own tournament with brackets. So, say, we could have a DVD talk tournament or something.

I'm not really understanding how the GP and CP works. Played about a dozen matches and it looks like every time you play a mini tourney of 3 games, although I kept losing on the "championship" one. Seems like you earn GP by winning and the more you earn, you'll gain a level to the higher level tourneys? Not sure how the number of Championship Points are coming into play.

To those who already downloaded. You can't setup your own tournaments with people you know? Say you want to have a tournament between friends? Is this possible?

This mode seems pretty bogus.
It just seems like ranked matches with a new point system. Am I missing something here?

Essentially all it does is rank people a lot better then the BP system did. You play more people around your level, and people who disconnect get punished for it.

But yeah, I initially thought it would be something cooler.

On the bright side, it IS making online matches a lot easier. It actually seems to work a lot better as far as finding matches and playing guys around your level. I'm at G3-B right now.
