For example, if you are playing Pac-man and you push the joystick to the left and let go, Pac-man immediately goes right. Every time. So I have to fight it the entire game as it constantly is trying to go to the right when you are pushing it left, up or down. I know I downloaded the games but how else am I supposed to try out the product? Those were a gift to me for buying and going thru the trouble of retuning a defective product. I agree it's not the greatest thing to do but what's done is done. I just can't pay for & keep an item that's obviously defective. No wonder it was on clearance. As far as Mad Katz products go...I have no idea they are junk because I have never really owned any 3rd party accessories. I usually stay away from 3rd party stuff and now I know why. Why can't Microsoft release a joystick? As much as they are pushing Arcade Live, you would think that would be a product they would want out there. |

Well, I went and bit on the Pinball game. I felt $10 for 3 tables was too pricey, but the free fourth table made it a better deal. That table is the best. Love the PotC-inspired music. It's nice to finally have an XBLA game that my 6 yr old daughter isn't afraid to try. She even scored her first 20 GP!
It's very, very lame that there's no single-console multiplayer. Really, how hard would it have been to let two players alternate turns? |

I need to play the demo of Mutant Storm Empire again.. something didn't feel right. The game looks a lot better than the first (it appears to be 1080p vs. 720p based on how sharp it looked on my TV) but the game itself didn't seem to match the action in the first one.. and if I'm reading correctly, there are only sixteen levels (Reloaded had ninety). There does seem to be some new scoring mechanics and the variety of enemies is far greater. But, for some reason it didn't "click" for me like the first one did. Also, little things like not being able to create a custom ship bring it down a slight notch as well.
Did anybody else try it, specifically, fans of Mutant Storm Reloaded? |

And then i checked the leaderboard and brianluvdv's score is insane! :( |
So I got 800 points
EEE? Mutant Storm? Any good Ninja Turtles style arcade games? |

Did anybody else try it, specifically, fans of Mutant Storm Reloaded? I've never played the first one, so i really can't compare, but Empire does sport 90 some levels. There are 16 worlds each with 5-6 levels a peice. Each world has a main boss at the end similar to how mario worlds are set up. I absolutely love this game. So much that I got 7th on the leaderboards for adventure mode :D I'm hoping to find someone else who is decent so we can get the 1,000,000 score + 10X multiplier |

Has Switchball been released yet? I don't have Live hooked up right now so I can't check, and the release date still says TBD on the Xbox site. I've really been looking forward to this one, and teamxbox.com gave it a 9.4 in the review. I used to love Marble Madness on my Commodore 64, so I can't wait to play this.

Anyone else excited about Undertow, IGN reports that it will be officially out the week of Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will be at 800 points as I recall when the game was first announced in the summer that it might be about that. Should be real fun having an arcade game that will have 16 player MP battles online.

Get 2 free live games with a new Xbox Live Account. It makes it look like any games in one section (using code # XBX0808) but then in another area it stated the games are Frogger and Robotron 2084 (using code # XBX1133). Either way, free games for newbies. |
I wish people still played Marble Blast Ultra on XBLA. That was a blast when it first came out...lots of people played online.
|
I picked up Puzzle Quest today as I hadn't had much free time since it came out. My fd and I both love it thus far. Well worth the 1200 pts.

Is it similar to MBU? I haven't read much about it.
