I don't see that happening. There is no guarantee any game sees a double-dip in a GOTY edition. Even the biggest, Halo/GTA/Madden, don't typically get double-dips until a GH/Platinum release.

I don't think Madden ever gets a GH/Platinum release, does it? I mean, they lower the price after a while, but they don't change the packaging and just rope you into the next edition.

I didn't mean anything as far as GOTY editions go, but as far as Halo 3 running at only 640 resolution rather then 720.

I don't care either concerning the resolution.. only the (technical) misrepresentation on the boxes.

I downloaded Pac-man CE and I can see how it could be addictive. I also played Uno and it was strangely addictive as well.

I downloaded some other demos and was surprised when my brand new 20GB Halo Xbox said I only had 7GB of memory left. Whoa...guess I should have gone for the Elite. A little over 6GB is system use and it looks like I used over 7GB without even trying hard. Not very pleased about that.

Demos take up a huge amount of space. Unless you are intending to keep them it shouldn't be much of an issue though. Play it for a bit and delete it when you have the next one you want to download. Unless you are looking to download a bunch of TV shows or rent movies in HD the 20 gigs should be fine. I have multiple CDs ripped to my HDD and several TV shows downloaded and i still sit with 4-5 gigs free.

edit: Also i'm glad to see both you and HI picked up 360s. Going to be playing Halo with us soon?

Yeah, HI was always gonna buy one and I was going to wait until X-mas or after but he was telling me about it and and whining for a co-op partner ;).

I saw the Costco Halo bundle and had to go for it. I didn't realize how much I missed it. Still very very rusty though.

I was the one that introduced Halo to HI (and several other friends) and it was giving me gas to see all those guys playing Halo 3 and me, the early adopter, being left out. Peer pressure is a bitch. :)

Mental was sucked into the World of Warcraft so we haven't seen or heard from him in months and months. Strange appears from time to time, but knows what his going on with him up in Canada.

Primal Urges, Duster, Slitt Vicious, Czarcastic, Canis Firebrand, JediMatt, HI.... and then a bunch of new guys we have picked up here and there (especially after the Bungie Humpday Challenge). Well it was bound to happen I guess even though I hoped it wouldn't...

Came home this afternoon started messing with the new OXM disc, and had 3 or 4 freeze ups that I had to shut down, and restart the console. I tried to play a little CoD4 beta, and twice during game play the screen just went black and again I had to shut down and restart. Pissed and frustrated I gave up.

Went back just a bit ago, and now all I get is three flashing red lights. Tried shutting down, and restarting about 10 times. It won't start up at all. :(

Edison, similar thing happened to me, but I never got the red lights? I could not play longer than 6 mins before a lock-up. Sent my 360 in for repair, got it back in 5 business days!!!! and It was my same 360! What I have noticed is that the DVD drive is louder. It is the same type drive( I took a pic before I sent it off) At first, I thought the fan was "ON" all of the time. when I exit the game and go to the dashboard, the noise turns off....weird? Anyway, I have been playing alot and I have only gotten one lock up since....and that was not in game but in one of the market place menus...With Halo 3 on all the time, let me see if I can kill my system for good!!!......While it is still under warranty...

... and just like that, my 360 started freezing today. Fuck! I knew it was coming, but still. How long after frist freeze are people noting the RROD? SHould I order my coffin already?

Thanks, robo. It occurred to me that in the extremely unlikely event that this wasn't a soon-to-be RROD problem, my standard warranty is up in a month. I better order my coffin now to be safe.
