I live in the boonies, only place I can get any video games much less Halo 3 is walmart or kmart, neither is carrying the Legendary as far as I know.

Great, except that of course, most of us are waiting to see if we got Frogger for free from the recent Microsoft promotion. Nice to see them starting to have sales though. And Billiards is still too expensive...

Saw multiple people in line tonight buying 360s with their Halo 3 purchase. I wonder how many people were just waiting for Halo 3 before they hopped on the next-gen bandwagon.

One guy had the Halo 360, Halo 3 Legendary, Halo wireless headset, Halo controllers, and a strategy guide. :eek: That's a lot of damn money for one game... and almost the price of a PS3. ;)

A good friend of mine did exactly this. He bought a 360 on Sat. solely because of Halo's Tues. release. When I recommended a few other titles to him (R6: Vegas, Gears, Dead Rising), he responded that he's only interested in Halo 3. He said he might try the other later, but for now, he's satisfied with his $400+ Halo purchase.

I saw that they have a very nice bundle at Costco : Halo Console, Halo 3 LE and the Halo controller for $499.99.

I can't wait to see the spike in VGChartz that this last week will show. I just can't believe that it took 22 months for these "Halo Hardcore" to jump on the 360 bandwagon. That's restraint that I don't even have and I still don't own any retail 360 games!

I played Halo 1 on PC but never played Halo 2. I'm really curious about 3, but I really need to play through Bioshock first before i think about buying a new game.

How's Halo 2 look through the 360? I think i might borrow a friend's and give that a go in the single player before looking at Halo 3. I think i'd be more into the story then the multiplayer.

Anyone have any issues getting into the Marketplace last night around 9:00-10:00pm EST? I could play LIVE just fine, but when I tried to download Demos/Themes/etc, the right error guide popped up saying there were issues accessing the Marketplace or something like that.

I'm sure it had to do with the heavy traffic on Halo 3. Friends list on the website was disabled too and that was the explanation they posted. No banner ads were displaying in the various blades either.

According to 360 Fanboy, the games are 50% off. I haven't check to verify, but that would put Bankshot at only 600 points, if true.

I did just verify on my 360, the games are 50% off. Frogger is 200, Spades is 200, and Billiards is 600.

I want to buy them so bad but I'm still waiting on that stupid promotion to see what the free games are from there. Hopefully these 50% off prices isn't a fluke and will last until Tuesday.
