I did. It really isn't that hard, because you can save whenever you want.

It seems pretty easy once you get to a certain point, assuming you don't bother too much with big daddies until you can handle them with powerful weapons. Of course skipping the Adam collection would slow you down overall by limiting the number of plasmids and tonics you could equip. I'm wondering if it is worth trying for a relative FPS retard like myself.
I got it a couple months ago. Wasn't too difficult. Ignored most of the Big Daddies until the end and they were super-easy by that point.

I will play the second quicker
That's what I thought, too, but I think it actually took me longer the second time around. I rushed through my first playthrough to find out what happened next in the story, but found that there was somewhat of a lack of urgency to go through it all again in the second playthrough.

Sorry, I meant the 2nd game - no the 2nd playthrough of this one.

I already did all the story and diaries and such. I'd spend most of my time taking pictures, hacking, and reloading I think

For all the fans and collectors:

Little Sister figurine. Companion to your Big Daddy figurine. Shipping is expensive, around $10, but I just had to have it.

I had to have it too, until I saw the shipping. I just can't justify $20 for that little figure. It doesn't even look all that impressive for a figure, especially compared to the big daddy.

cool. I'd order it, but I have absolutely no trust in take2 anymore. I bought the LE of Bioshock and my Big Daddy was damaged. They had a form on their site so you could swap the damaged Big Daddy's will undamaged ones. I filled out the form and never got anything in the mail (I was supposed to get a package to return my figurine along with an exclusive book of artwork, if I remember correctly). I sent a couple reminders over the course of 6 months and got responses from them that amounted to "we lost your info, send it again." So I did, and still got nothing. I eventually just super-glued my Big Daddy back together.

Fuck take2.

Sorry to hear that. I've got the exact opposite story.

My Big Daddy was broken out of the box as well. It wasn't horrible, as it was just the tip of the drill bit, but I was still pissed, as I should get a complete unbroken product when I drop that much on something. I submitted the online form and waited for my "coffin". It was taking forever, so they sent out another email (I believe) that said they were going to give the artbook out as well. Eventually, they said "screw it" and just sent me out another Big Daddy as well and told me to toss the broken one. I glued the tip back on the old one and you really can't tell it's broken anymore. So now I have one watching over my desk at home and one guarding my stuff at work.

Yep. They let everyone keep their 'broken' big daddies, and the artbook was awesome. Sorry about your story SomethingMore.

^Must have just been take2/2k Canada, 'cause I'm insanely jealous of you guys now.

edit: I just sent my last angry email to them. I doubt I'll get anything at this point. If I could email the CEO, I would. The emails they sent me over that time were unprofessional and clearly showed that they had no idea what they were doing.

Yeah, shipping was too much. But I just had to have it.

They shipped today, so I should have it by the end of the week or earlier next week. I'll post pictures when I receives. Finally, Mr. Bubbles won't be alone anymore.

An hour? that seems like a lot? does that includes any update? or just the original game by itself?

This game still ranks as one of my all-time favorites and I'd still like time to play it again. I can still remember my first "Big Daddy" encounter. Visually it's second to none. Cannot wait till the second one comes out.

After renting this 1.5 years ago and not finishing it (not sure I even killed a Big Daddy) I decided to buy and replay. Wow, that is one hell of a game.

There is a bit of a learning curve at the front end, but once you tackle a Big Daddy I thing it gets easier from there. Guess the first few times I saw one they kicked my ass, so that was my learning curve

Anyone that has not played this one yet should def give it a go.

Yea I started playing it and its amazing. Ive never been so engulfed with a game where Im taking it slow and releshing it. Its my first play through after getting the demo when it first came out and Im actually playing it on HARD. I love the visuals and sometimes just watch and listen to the characters 'live' in their environment. The Big Daddys are a bitch and the first one I fought demolished me, but I love taking them on now. The game in 5.1 is astonishing, hearing the Daddys moan and move is house shaking.

"Yes, Jesus loves me!"

I been tempted to get this on steam for 4.99, already have the 360 one and did beat it, I loved this game and would like to play it through again, and since my new pc can handle anything it might look better then the 360 one.

I'm the opposite of you maingon, I got the game for the PC, in release date. I actually got the LE, with the Big Daddy figurine and all that stuff. I chose the PC version because I wanted the best visuals and the game really delivered. I think I'm ready to play it in the Xbox or the PS3 now.

Alright little help here...

I just beat the Arcadia level and went back to the Medical Pavilion to get a Big Daddy I had left behind. When I went there, the pause screen shows I am missing one guy, but I couldnt find him! When I did the initial level run through, I saved the first little sister I encounter without fighting a Big Daddy and later before I left, I fought my first and harvested the sister. I cant find the one Im missing! Help!

Big Daddy and Little sisters are completely random. They are different on every play through for everyone. You just have to wander around until you find them.

When in doubt use the map. it'll show everywhere you've ben and dark areas you haven't been. He could be in a room, behind some blockage, corner...Sometimes they won't move till you get close.

I still like bioshock but after playing Dead Space...it takes the cake - Dead Space feels much more evolved and the back tracking has a seamless feel to it (i.e. feels necessary) whereas in Bioshock, I almost stop playing half way through because of the back tracking.

But don't get me wrong, the story in Bioshock is quite unique - the game just doesn't capatalize on it enough.

I figured out why I THOUGHT I was missing a little sister in the Medical Pavilion. I didnt recognize the picture was of a saved little sister, im use to seeing the harvested one.

I havent had to do any back tracking necessary to the game and Im at the area where I have to kill some guys for Sanders

Cool thanks. Actually I too was wandering around last night looking for my last little sister at a particular level- it just so happened that I decided to rescue one instead of harvesting it. The picture does look different.
