Fuck it, I'm weak. I went the Ebay route (slightly over $100 shipped) after I realized I had a little over $80 sitting in my Paypal account from a baby pool I won last month.

Bought one from a guy that's three hours away. Hopefully, I'll be losing myself in Rapture by Saturday at the latest.

a. I find the game in the store early, Saint's Row for instance.

b. Get a retail friend to hook me up before street, Madden DS for instance.

c. Get up at 5 A.M. on Wed. to review an Xbox Live arcade release.

I think my Madden sold at half.com. I can't tell. It isn't in my current inventory. And I can't find it on my sales page. But my listing is gone.

Oh, I know that - I wasn't blaming you guys. It's just you now have an opportunity to scoop sites like IGN - though they probably have a review already written and ready to go, but it's under embargo until the 20th or something.

Yeah - Flay's Madden DS review is racking up the hits.

I had to break street date on Guitar Hero II for 360 in order for us to get the day of release review.

Nope.. Didn't sell my Madden. I guess if someone has it in their cart, it pulls it out of inventory. Probably another seller trying to get my listing out as mine is cheaper then the rest by a buck.

that is what I figured. But when I checked earlier, it wasn't anywhere to be found. I looked in their help section and it said that when someone puts it in their cart and checks out, it takes it off the site until they pay and it clears. Or, if they let it sit there, it times out after an hour.

So, it is showing back now. I just have to hope it sells to recoup my cost of a game I didn't want to get a good deal on a game I did want.

For anyone who has the game, do you know what the unlock frame rate setting does?

Just don't open your Bioshock until Madden sells. If it doesn't pan out take 'em both back.

One trick that seems to help me is offering free 1st class upgrade. The price difference between 1st and media is infinitesimal.

I listed mine as:

I live two blocks from the P.O. so it's no big deal to run over there. :)

I'd guess unlocks the frame rate. ;-)

I'm guessing they locked the FR at something higher than 30, but lower than 60 due to performance. I'm guessnig that if you unlock the FR, you put it into a variable mode where when little is happening onscreen you'll run higher (60) then when things get hectic I'd guess some slowdown occurs. The locking prevents slowdown perhaps?

I went to the Lancaster, CA TRU, and I was told something about an email that they got. The guy there said people have been calling all day asking for it, and they have been turning them away.

Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. My TRU never gets games ON the street day let alone before :lol:

I sold my Madden the 2nd time it disappeared out of my inventory on half.com. After fees and such, I net $49 which is what I paid for it at Toys R Us after 20% discount and tax.

So, I end up with Bioshock for $30. Not too shabby. I guess I got back to the TRU in time before they pulled them. The store I went to said she had 6 copies when I called. By time I got there, I think I got the last one. The other one I stopped at before that said not until the 21st and they had been getting calls all day.

Figured I'd post this here for anyone already playing the full game, I have a question.

So for the people playing the full game, could you give us a few spoiler-free notes? Is it as good as the hype? Is the demo the full opening or is there more to it? etc?
