Was anybody's arm/shoulder really sore when they started using the Wii? The whole bicep/shoulder area hurts like hell. I have a karate test on Friday so I'll hold off playing until afterwards. I'll just have to watch my niece play to see if it freezes.

I enjoy really getting into it. For some reason I bowl better if my knee goes up at the end of throwing the ball. My sister says it's because it adds power to the swing. For tennis I'm twisting and jumping and swinging like crazy and having a blast. You have to commit to it in order to get a good score (by the way, I have yet to beat tennis... I'm the sucky one of the family when it comes to tennis, everyone else rocks, my sister beat it on her first try (and it was also the first time holding a Wiimote). I'm getting a kick out of the system, but I can't risk an injury 4 days before the karate test.

That's funny because I bowl much better when I do a little kick at the end. Don't know why. Everyone laughs... until they realize how much I'm beating them by...

or maybe they figure asking $20 for a plastic shell that costs $1 to make was a bit much and figured they needed to pack in something to lure the hardcore crowd in.

I'll wait for reviews on this mini-game. Price still seems a bit high for a shell.

I just meant that maybe they could make the game have a different theme (Duck Hunt maybe?), not that they shouldn't include a game. Obviously any game is better than no game. $20 for just the shell would have been ridiculous.

I'm not sure about the Zapper pack in. I really love Zelda but can't see how this would be that deep at all. That being said I think I would have enjoyed an updated Duck Hunt much better. Something more then the Wii Play duck hunt game.

Hopefully this means that Nintendo is making a full-fledged Duck Hunt game for release next year!

Here's something interesting, the Australian ratings board has issued a rating for Treasure's marvelous N64 opus, Sin & Punishment. This seems to imply that an international release of the previously Japanese-only game is pending. More interesting is that I remember reading that Nintendo had the game finished and ready to release here but it was apparently dropped after the less than stellar sales of Conker (and the impending release of the GameCube). The game only needed the main menus translated anyway, all of the dialog in the game was already in English.. so if it comes out here, you're in for a treat, it's a fantastic game.

So on the VC I would assume?

What type of game is it? Adventure? RPG?

Treasure's 'Sin & Punishment' will be an instant purchase whenever it hits the VC!

Yeah, for VC. It's an on-rails shooter.

what the fuck would be the point in making the zapper come with duck hunt? I mean, you shoot ducks, but it totally defeats the purpose of requiring a nunchuk

I really don't feel people think that the whole way through

I can't imagine how they could re-make duckhunt into a full-fledged game. The original duckhunt is essentially 2 mini-games.. clay pigeons and ducks, doesn't really fly these days.

It wouldn't have to be a straight remake. They could obviously do something where you are moving around or moving your view with the nunchuck also.

It doesn't really matter though. Either way, the gameplay is essentially the same.

I don't think Link's Crossbow Training is going to be a full-fledged game either.

They could do something like this...

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5WkcDtbS5tY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5WkcDtbS5tY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

but hopefully better.

Folk's it's a pack-in with a $20 accessory. Don't expect a full-fledged 50+ hour game with any depth.

I agree, it's obviously not. My point is, I can't see them releasing a 'full-fledged' duckhunt remake if they didn't have it as the cheapie pack-in mini-game for the plastic shell.

That just doesn't really seem like the Big N's style... another Cabela game.

Where's the confusion? Because Star Fox is so much like Call of Duty, right?

I'm pretty sure Call of Duty was originally a Star Fox title but after the "Star Fox Adventures" debacle they changed it to a WW2 game a month or so before it went gold.
